A big thank you once again to all of you who backed this project and made it a success! Based on the final poll for the islands design, Hex will be going into production with the sea serpent version. I'm so glad I had a chance to participate in Pintopia 2024, and also to have Carly at Dragon Woodshop design such a fun display for this collection on what was a pretty short deadline.

Later this week I'll be headed up to Washington to visit with Carrie Alyson at their studio and fulfill my prior project, Folkgore. Since Carrie will be overseeing the manufacturing portion of these pins too, while I'm there we'll also coordinate on the next steps for Hex. If there are any extras from Folkgore, those will go into the pledge manager before surveys go out.

Keep an eye on your inbox in May for the surveys, and beyond that I'll be sure to keep you updated with how production is coming along. All the art is prepped and ready, but if there's anything in particular you'd like to know or get updates on as we head into the next stages, just let me know!

We're in the final few days of Pintopia 2024, and HEX! comfortably made it past the surprise stretch goal for an 8th tileset inspired pin! I'm happy to formally announce that the design for the Space Tile pin is all done. Thanks again for the community suggestion, Moth. Also finished is the multi-land design, with a home in the center of the pin display in mind.

To wind up this little project, backers can now vote on which version of the islands is placed into the collection: kraken or sea serpent.

But hey, if you're still looking for pin projects to support, consider helping Fool's Moon Entertainment get their DND-themed tarot pins funded! They've got some great designs in Paragon Tarot Pins and are more than halfway to their goal.

No foolin, I've got a lot of news about unlocks!

First off, my Pintopia collab partner Ølvl media's project Dice Are My Vice has funded! Huzzah! Now anyone who has backed both of our projects will receive a free Dice Goblin pin from each of us.

We also blew right past that collaborative stretch goal with my buddies over at Just Say No, so after the campaign ends, backers will be able to choose between my "All Roads Lead to No" or Carrie Alyson's "Artax Noooo!" (some of us never escaped the swamp of sadness). Both stickers are included in the add-ons if you a peek or to secure some extras.

I've got one more stretch goal for HEX! thanks to a community suggestion from Moth! At 6k we'll add an outer space tile. We're not too far away from the goal already, and if it unlocks everyone who has pledged at the Adventure Collection tier will receive the space tile for free with their collection.

One last thing to note is that the artwork of the islands tile is being finalized. I've added these to the campaign page and will run a poll for backers to decide between the kraken version or the sea serpent version later. But first, we've got a second dragon option to decide on.

So, backers, what color do you want?

HEX! blew through nearly all its stretch goals already. All the basic land types are unlocked, plus the Gelatinous Cube and Dragon mini pins. As of this update, we're really close to unlocking the Mimic at $3500. Then, if we reach $4000 I'll be able to produce the multi-land which will be perfect for that center slot in the display Carly K has designed for this collection. Beyond that? I'm looking at an additional sticker free to all backers and maybe an extra filler pin.

My Pintopia partner project, Dice Are My Vice, still needs around $250 to meet its funding goal. For those of you who want to get your hands on the dice goblin mini pin, please share the word and help get the little guy funded!

I'm sneaking away in the middle of the workday to say holy crap, thanks for helping HEX! reach its initial funding goal so quickly! And, while I was typing this, we just unlocked our first stretch goal! I really wasn't sure how much folks would dig the concept, but I'm glad we're all stoked about huge tracts of land.
