Cotard's Cataclysm is a zombie apocalypse novel in which the protagonist, Freddy, a schizophrenic, is unaware that the apocalypse is more than just a hallucination. The novel follows Freddy, his boss Jeff, and his mother Julia as they escape zombie-infested western North Carolina. Despite the novel's many serious themes (such as alcoholism & domestic violence), it is a dry comedy that aims to make light of other zombie media.
