Project Update: Updates, and HEY! Trash Can Pick-Up at DenFur if arranged!!
Let me start this off with:
IF YOU ARRANGE IT IN ADVANCE, YOU CAN COME PICK UP YOUR TRASH CAN BAG (ALLEY CHOW) AT MEGAPLEX* AND DENFUR!

You will only be able to arrange pickup of the Alley Chow bags. Any other rewards will ship separately. If you would rather get everything together, trash cans will be getting fulfilled at the same time as the other bags. If you do not arrange pick-up in advance we will be unable to accommodate you. We also are not doing at con pick-up for any other campaigns or other store products- this is because the trash cans pack flat, but things like werewolves and kobolds take up significant space. Our trailer is going to be very full as it is!

Anyway, round-up time for other production updates!
- All plush keychains have completed manufacturing! This includes the grilled meat restock, sardine, fish skeleton, tuna, and salmon.
- Bear Chow and Mako Chow have wrapped up production and will be shipping to us shortly!
- Sable Chow got a finalized prototype and wow! I'm glad it didn't unlock! This bag shape turned out to be a lost cause for now. It's.. it's really bad y'all. I'll return to it when I can pattern it fully in-house.
- The sardine pencil bag received a final prototype and was submitted for safety testing a week ago, meaning it will enter main production very shortly!
- Tinned Chow also received a final prototype and has been submitted for the same! Production will begin shortly. We ended up ordering fewer bags than planned since shipping prices have risen very sharply, but that will hopefully have the side benefit of them taking less time to complete.
- Zipper pulls are currently in manufacturing and should be arriving around when the bags themselves do, which was the hope.
- Guz eating meat pins are in manufacturing, but have been for a second. Shipments might be held back a little if they don't get on the way soon.
I will try to get photos for the pencil bag and for Tinned Chow when I'm able to. I prefer to do all my photoshoots outdoors and the weather has been abysmal. Maybe I can luck out and do some photos at the upcoming conventions. One last thing!
AT LAST! Deadweights is launching in September! Some of you might know that I actually delayed the Deadweights campaign to run Carrion Baggage: Second Bite instead, otherwise it would have gone live in December 2025. Their turn is finally coming up in the roster now that Big Brew Bash fulfillment is largely complete and most manufacturing is done for both Carrion Baggage: Second Bite and Gnawesome Predators!
Returning backers will get a free mini pin of Guz trapped in a potion bottle to match the characters, pre-campaign followers of the teaser page get a free Deadweights symbol mini pin, and backers who place a reserve get a Bantam Burials plush with their rewards. If you're reading this chances are you're in a good position to get all the goodies!

Project Update: MEATY UPDATE
Hey all! I've been working hard behind the scenes, haven't had much time to write small updates but here's a quick rundown of a bunch of stuff!
Completed: Fish bone and sardine plush keychain prototypes
I have just received and approved of these keychain prototypes, and they are going to be entering production this week! That means all unlocked keychain types will be underway. It does not have the correct keychain attachments in these photos- the final ones do have both keychain types in one!
First draft: Sardine pencil bag
Trash can: Complete?!
So the trash can turns out to've been a far simpler design to tackle than the other 2 bags. This might mean I will have them at Anthrocon in July! If you would like to arrange for AC pickup, we might be able to do that. I've hired helpers for this year and I have my own trailer now so I actually have the space to bring a small amount extra with me. I'll have to talk to y'all about that closer to the event.

- Tinned Chow is still undergoing re-sizing
- Sable Chow is proving to be a challenge. It is still being worked on even though it was not funded, just in case I can release it in the future.
Survey Reminder
We're only at 87% complete for our surveys! If you haven't filled yours out here is your reminder to do so. If you have not paid for your order and you wish to cancel, please reach out and let me know so I can do so manually, otherwise it will keep attempting to charge you and I won't know if you're a mysterious bag choice I have to account for or not.
Over all, stuff is going smoothly! I am focused on fulfilling Big Brew Bash to make sure that's squared away before Carrion Baggage: Second Bite inventory starts arriving in full. Talk to you soon!

Project Update: Smoke tests are out. Check your cards!
Hey everyone! I'm trying to keep things moving along since I am about to be head down fully in nothing but Big Brew Bash fulfillment, so I've already gotten everything put together for surveys and have sent out smoke tests. If you receive one and encounter any problems please let me know right away! I'll get on fixing it, and it will be a big help to the fellow backers coming after you.
Due to production timelines, there will not be a pre-order store for this campaign. Pre-orders will become available on lairbrew.com once we are far enough along and surveys have been mostly completed.
A collaboration here on Backerkit that I am participating in, Tributes, finally has a visible participation list with some teasers. If you're in to enamel pins and nostalgic video games you might find something to love there. My project will be Jiggy Jam! It will feature some combining sets as well as some blind bag mini pins.

Time for me to return to the werewolf stuffing mines, but one last thing:
There are a LOT of failed card payments.
$7,000 worth of card payments failed. That is a BIG chunk of our funding and money I am absolutely going to need to be able to deliver on every promise in a timely fashion. If you are not absolutely certain your card was charged successfully please consider checking up on it! I budgeted with a cushion, but not a "7k gone is no big deal" size one, so I must humbly request card failures be resolved in a timely manner. I'd be extremely grateful and it will help make sure we get to stick to the schedule which is fair for everyone.

Project Update: FINAL HOURS! Sardine pencil bag available, keychain prototype photos!
The campaign is officially ending tomorrow!!! As a recap, so far the trash can, salmon, tuna, and sardine tin bags are unlocked, along with 4 new plush keychains.
I have great news for the sardine bag lovers AND the jurassic haunch lovers. I won't be switching them, but I will be making the sardine bag available immediately! They are now available on the add-ons page and as a backer level. Sardine bag won by such a landslide I decided I could tighten the belt some and get it done.
Our funding has backslid some but I plan to keep the keychains unlocked. It means way less cushion, but we keep popping over and back under. That may change now that we're in the final stretch!
I got shown prototypes for the fish skeleton and sardine keychains! The sardine is getting some work, but the fish skeleton is ready to go.

We're on the road home from NC right now after Bewhiskered. We'll be getting home late tonight but I will check in as often as I can to help anyone with questions as we start to wind down.

Project Update: The final week approaches! Poll time!
Hey all! Just an update to let everyone know where we're at before I head off to Bewhiskered on Wednesday! We'll have the prototypes with us while we're there by the way, if you're attending.
- Keychains are now $10 for the campaign! See the last update for details
- A sticker version of the return backer pin is available to everyone as an add on
- We're halfway sold out of campaign designated grilled haunch bags in the add-ons
- Final tuna and salmon keychain prototypes arrived and have been approved for manufacturing
- Sardine and fish skeleton keychain prototypes are being worked on, the first draft has not been shared
- Second drafts on both Tinned Chow and Sable Chow are still underway.
Also, folks have been excited for the sardine pencil case! I've attached a poll to decide if I should be shifting any of the goals around to best satisfy folks. The pencil case and the haunch would both have different prices from standard bags (they're less) so they seem like a good point to swap if it is done at all. Please answer if you can, I'd appreciate it!
Here's some quick phone photos to show what we've received! You can see the double keychain attachment for the salmon and tuna, and the width of/hardware on the new straps. These are what have been approved for manufacturing when we reach that point.
