Fire Well n Tree The well is the eye of the world, the connection to the underworld and the ancestors. The fire is the power of nature and rising energies, the connection to the nature spirits. The tree is the pillar of the world, connecting the underworld with the worlds above and between, the connection to the shining ones. These three hallows come together in this meditative scene, a pair of cuddling birds observing from above. This piece is in homage to my druidic spiritual path, and the acorn accompanying it symbolizes the rebirth and regeneration of a tree's seed, in this case a mighty oak.
Skulls The deer is a symbol of innocence, and in this tranquil scene, its skull serves as a lovely perch for a little butterfly, as well as a shady spot for some flowers to grow around. The wit and sensual grace of the cat are captured in the skull accompanying. I've always loved the look of skulls, especially deer and cats, so these were a very fun design to draw!
Mushroom Cottage In a magical little clearing, under a magical little tree, just next to a magical little pond, sits a magical little cottage built into a giant mushroom. Who could possibly live within? Glimmering smoke unfurls above, indicating someone could be home, let your imagination run wild as to whom it might be! Alongside this bottle is a flying wren, who became king of the birds through craft and cleverness!
Henge I have always been fascinated by the ancient stone structures dotting the world, so I built my own within a little bottle! It's been worn by time a little, so some of the tiny massive stones have fallen, but they're still filled with ancient wisdom and magic. The glittering amethyst geode accompanying offers clarity and vision through to those ancients' wisdom.
Grumpy Frog This was the first piece in the series that I sketched and still remains one of my favorites! The grumpy little face on the frog as the playful little fish in the little pond harasses him, I love him so much, his little frown brings me joy! I have to wonder how long these two have been going at it, and whether the frog really doesn't mind being pestered by his little friend! The dragonfly accompanying completes the scene, a third little friend for the group!
Crystal Ball Nestled carefully among some lush greenery sits a sparkling crystal ball. What wisdom and insight might it hold within? With the accompanying rune of Dagaz, the energies of a bright new dawn are welcomed into your life! I know the funding amount has fallen a little below the stretch goal for this set, but I've built in a buffer, so as long as it doesn't go below a certain threshold I will still consider this design to also be funded.
