We did it, Shroomie gang! 💪🍄🎉 (I'm definitely late in posting this update), but last month in September, we officially shipped out ALL 370+ orders and sent every new Shroomie out to their new homes :) My upmost thanks and gratitude to every single one of you who pledged to Shroomie Shoppe and made this campaign what it is. It never fails to amaze and humble me as an artist, to see so many people not only enjoy and support my work, but actively take part in turning it into physical products that exist off of a screen.

At the time of writing this, there's a small handful of packages (shipping outside of the US) that have bounced back in the mailing system and returned to me. If you see that your order has been "returned to sender" via the tracking number, please know that I'm already working on evaluating any errors (and may have already reached out to you about it), and am continuously working on getting them re-shipped to you. My apologies for the unexpected delay in your delivery. These bounce-backs are out of my control, but rest assured, I'm doing everything I can to make sure they still get delivered to you in the end!

Man, I've been waiting a long time to finally write this part of the update and share my next endeavors with you all. I wanted to get through the order fulfillment of this project before introducing something new, and I'm thrilled to share at last what I've been up to alongside creating, producing and fulfilling Shroomie Shoppe.

As far as my next enamel pin / plushie project ... I'm actually not sure when that will be. Pintopia is SUCH an insanely fun community experience, and if possible, I want to do everything I can to participate again next year. That's admittedly up in the air right now due to my other work / life schedule, but if I do return for pin/plush-topia 2026, you guys will absolutely be the first to know!

In the meantime, allow me to introduce you to my latest work:

For the past year (even amidst this crowdfunding project), I've been studying and training in the art of fine, custom jewelry design! Expanding and shifting my art into wearable fine collectible pieces has been a dream of mine that I'm finally getting to realize and live out. I've had the honor of learning from some of the jewelry industry's most knowledgeable instructors over the last year, and I'm thrilled to now be a certified CAD Designer and (soon to be) Bench Jeweler! 💍✨ This means I can take my love for art and not only design unique jewelry pieces on paper, but now also digitally sculpt them into 3D printable and castable designs, as well as cast, polish and set gemstones in my own pieces at the jeweler's bench :)

I know this is a pretty different form of art than anything I've put out before, but there's truly so much joy as an artist to keep breaking out of your own box and finding new mediums of creativity to explore. Plus, your girl here loves shiny things, so getting to design things with dazzling diamonds and a whole world of colored gemstones is definitely a huge plus! 😂

While I don't yet have a physical or online retail space for jewelry design, I invite you all to at least follow along my new venture and watch this new world of Lexidus Jewelry unfold:

👉 This doesn't mean I'll never make pins, plushies or other crowdfunding projects again. As long as I have the time to, you know I'll forever adore making cute things (especially Shroomies)! In the same way I still consider myself a traditional and digital artist with a core love of painting, I think I may always be an enamel pin maker (and now plushie producer) too. We're just adding and focusing on the world of jewelry next, as I continually explore ways to combine my creative passions :)

Hi Shroomie gang! Another short and sweet (but exciting) update for you guys:

All plushies have been delivered to me now, and quality checking and pin packing has begun :) I'm also stoked to share a sneak peek at the freebie pins that we've been packaging thus far. As previously mentioned, the enamel pins will ship each individually wrapped in their plastic / bubble bags from the manufacturer ... that is, all pins except for the FREEBIES! Thanks to some of your guys' feedback, I understand that saving one pin card back from a project you love can be a fun collection piece or even an artsy backdrop for your pin(s). So, while all of the main pins that you ordered will be in their default bags, any freebie pin(s) that come with your order will be packaged on a crisp new backing card! 🤩✨ Check them out:

There are still a small handful of people with outstanding balances and incomplete surveys. If you're one of the 9 backers who need to fix their payment method, please see 👉 BackerKit's FAQ on Failed Payments 👈 and update your card on file ASAP, otherwise your order will not ship out. Similarly, if you're in the group of 6 remaining backers that haven't filled out the Shroomie Shoppe - Reward Survey yet, you also need to complete this as soon as possible in order to receive any of the items that you pledged for. Since orders have been finalized and locked, I've gone through everyone's pledges and have manually added freebie pins based on your new order total (i.e. add-on purchases). So, if you previously didn't meet the $50 or $100 threshold for a freebie pin, but later purchased add-ons that increased your overall spent amount and now meet one or both thresholds, the correlating freebie pins should now appear in the list of items that you'll be receiving :)👍 Everyone's cart should be accurate now, but please feel free to double check and let me know if you think you're missing a freebie. 

One other final note and question to leave you guys with. As you may know from the previous update, my manufacturer shipped some blush product for me to apply the little rosy cheeks to each Shroomie plush by hand, since they weren't able to get it right at the factory. I've been doing some tests with both their blush (and some of my own) here at home, and I have a new longevity concern to bring to your attention.
 

✦ If carefully applied, the blush doesn't smear or rub off by the touch. However, it does seem to fade a little bit after applied and handled. More importantly, the blush definitely comes off when the fabric gets washed / wet. It's also nearly invisible on the mini red plushie, since the colors of the blush and fabric are so similar. So, it's mostly a detail for the larger blue Shroomie.

 

I've been feeling pretty torn over this, since the thought of removing a design detail isn't my favorite. But at the same token, I would hate for you guys to deal with a poor-quality detail that likely won't last forever. It was my understanding originally that the manufacturer applied the blush by an airbrushed paint, but it turns out it's a hand-applied, brushed-on blush (which is cute, but not necessarily permanent). So, I ask for your input and feedback once again: can you live without the blush on the plushies, or is it worth having it, even if it fades / washes off with time? (Cast your vote in the poll below.)

Hello again, fellow lovers of fungi!

I've been swamped lately and took a bit longer than intended pushing out this update, but I'm excited to once again share fresh new pics of the remaining finished pins 😆🙌 Check out all these shiny lil Shroomies!

By golly, were the polls insanely close once again, but a final decision has been made! In case you haven't already looked at the poll results on your own, here's our official winner:

Thank you to everyone who participated in the multiple rounds of deciding fabric color for this little guy! 😅 It really was a neck-and-neck race, but ultimately, I'm happy that we stuck with the color of the original design / artwork and kept with the initial vision. The bright red is super classic and fun, and if I do a second production run of this mini Shroomie in the future, I'll likely produce the brighter version next :) For now though, I hope you all enjoy the deep rich burgundy (that will also match the freebie holo sticker that comes with the plushie), and cherish your squishy new shroom friend for years to come!

✦ Plushies: All of the blue Shroomie plushies have successfully finished production and have been completed for a little while. We're just waiting for the mini burgundy Shroomie plushies to finish so that everything can ship together. 👍 I confirmed the final fabric color for the mini plushie as soon as the last vote closed, so their production has already been well underway by now, and shouldn't take much longer to wrap up. Once these little guys are done, then all of the plushies will make their voyage to my doorstep and get ready for order fulfillment :)

✦ Enamel Pins: All enamel pins are finished—woohoooo!! And since I was a bit slow in posting this update, I actually get to report that not only are the pins done, but they just showed up in the mail yesterday and are all safe and sound with me now! 🎉 They look even better in person too. I truly cannot wait for each of you to hold your shiny new Shroomies in-hand soon.

With everything else ready to go (stickers, shipping material, etc.), it's just a matter of waiting on the plushies to arrive, and then order fulfilment will begin! I'll of course send another update or two before your orders start getting packed up, as we'll need to finalize / lock down shipping addresses and charge cards for all outstanding balances. I'll wait until we get just a little bit closer before pushing out the address lock and payment charge, but if you'd like to stay on top of things and be an extra-awesome person, please double check your shipping address and linked payment method now, and kindly ensure that everything is correct and good to go.

Short & sweet good news: Both of my manufacturers have been gracious enough to cover the tariff fees, so I'm happy to say that we'll be unaffected by extra tariff costs :) What a huge relief!

To conclude this update, I have a question and new poll for you all: do you want backing cards for the enamel pins? I've always hand-packed every single pin on a card back, mostly because I love pretty packaging and have always adored the extra presentation that card backs give to pins. However, it is a HUGE time consumer to unwrap and pierce every individual pin. And admittedly, the extra packaging does feel pretty wasteful, since I know most people likely don't keep the cards.

So I'd like to know from you guys, is having your pins packaged on cards backs an important factor for you? Or would it be all the same if they were delivered in their default plastic bags from the manufacturer?

Hi Shroomie friends!

Thank you all so much for your votes on the last poll :) It was an incredibly close call, but the scales were tipped slightly in favor of the burgundy Mini Shroomie Plushie (original art color). I just received the two mini plush samples in the mail so that I could compare them in person too, and I wanted to share some more pictures & videos of all the plushie samples together. Some of you brought up good points on which mini plushie would look best next to the big blue Shroomie, so here's sort of a final round comparison / vote:

So, now that we can see all three together (and since the polls have been so dang close), I wanted to give everyone one last chance to confirm their choice on the mini plushie color. Do you still like your original pick, or has this swayed you to the other color? 

Since the winner was previously the burgundy mini plushie, I'm going to assume that's the color we're moving forward with, unless everyone mass jumps ships over to the red shroom this time 😂

Usually I get more pictures of the pin process (molds, raw pins, etc.), but my pin manu has been so excited to make these and show the finished product, they just jumped straight to the final pins this time 😅 We've been working really closely together on color matching with the artwork, and I'm super pleased with how each of these designs are turning out so far! There have only been a few that I'm requesting slight tweaks on, which is great considering how many colors and how many different pins we're working with here. Please enjoy all these first looks at the Shroomie Shoppe pins that I've received pics of thus far:
