All the requisite paperwork is in, and we are just waiting for a response. We were hoping to get an answer on Friday, before the weekend, but alas, we did not. Hopefully, we will hear something soon and be able to report a firm date for when the boxes will arrive on our doorstep. Once we have them, we'll put together the backer packages and start shipping them to you.
"Surveys" are how you complete your order and give us your shipping address. The surveys for Lightraiders went out at the start of May. If you haven't completed yours yet, please don't forget, and if you never saw yours, you can find it using the link at the end of this email. When the games come in, we won't be able to send yours unless you complete the "survey" to finalize the shipping address and pay the shipping cost (most US shipping costs are between $9 and $15).
You can also add extra items like extra Cadet Handbooks to your order during this process. We added handbooks to the manufacturing order so that everyone could have as many as they want.

If you have friends who want to pre-order the system, they can order at the pre-order price on our website at https://lightraiders.com/project/lightraiders-adventure-bible-system/ The pre-order price isn't quite as good as the backer price, but it is still a discount. Pre-orders will ship out after all backer games have shipped. If you want to gift a game to a friend at the backer price, you can add one to your order when you fill out the survey.
The work progresses! We expect to send our final version to the manufacturer at the beginning of April. At that point, much will depend on them. There will still be one iteration of proofs to complete and a final round of safety testing to meet certain international regulatory requirements. We know this doesn't sound exciting, but these are the barriers we must push through to get Lightraiders out to the world in a lasting way.
In the meantime, we are finally ready to launch a place where this family can hang out together.
As promised during the campaign, we have set up a Lightraider Academy Discord server. This is our digital Ras Telesar, where lightraiders can hang out, discuss, share adventures, and generally be blessings to each other.
Within the server, you'll find channels dedicated to the five "spheres" of the Lightraider Order. The Rangers, Navigators, Tinkers, Comforters, and the Vanguard. You'll also find channels for sharing art and adventures. This will be the only place to share fan-created adventures online.

We'll let the story behind the question remain a mystery for now. Start by reading the Rules, and then take a look around. There are volunteer moderators waiting.

We had a lovely Christmas with our families, and now we're right back at the grindstone. In the coming year we have a big list of to-dos, and we'll be checking it way more than twice. Normal publishing at this level is a one-year process through layout, copyediting, manufacturer checks and adjustments, to delivery. We're attempting to complete it in six months. So far, we're on target.
Post Campaign Pre-orders (not backers) Most of you on this email list are backers. You can skip to the next paragraph. However, we know some of you are following because you found out about the launch after the campaign had closed. We appreciate your messages, and there WILL be a pre-order opportunity in early 2024 as promised. Stay tuned and please be patient. The price will be as low as we can make it, but it will not be as low as the backers received during the campaign.
Surveys The term "survey" is a crowdfunding term, but it is really a final check for shipping addresses and costs that is necessitated by the longer timeline of crowdfunding. When we're ready to ship, which will be months from now, you'll get a survey link that allows you to finalize your address. As noted on the campaign pages, shipping will also be charged at that time.
RiseUp! Finally, we will be appearing at RiseUp!, a Christian game/media culture convention May 31 to June 1 in Sevierville, TN. We are their official game partner. Put it on your calendar.

I received my game a couple weeks ago, and I've been looking through the material. I have to say, I'm impressed with the production quality! This is how DragonRaid should have been back in the 1980's! Well done! My only reservation is the choice of Bible translation. I'm sure that was probably one topic that was discussed a lot before a selection was made. I'm curious why you chose CSB instead of NASB or ESV or NJKV?
