"Surveys" are how you complete your order and give us your shipping address. The surveys for Lightraiders went out at the start of May. If you haven't completed yours yet, please don't forget, and if you never saw yours, you can find it using the link at the end of this email. When the games come in, we won't be able to send yours unless you complete the "survey" to finalize the shipping address and pay the shipping cost (most US shipping costs are between $9 and $15).

You can also add extra items like extra Cadet Handbooks to your order during this process. We added handbooks to the manufacturing order so that everyone could have as many as they want.

We will lock orders on 15 May, so be sure to complete your survey soon. If you don't remember how to get to your survey, you can find it at the link below by entering the email address you used during the campaign.

If you have friends who want to pre-order the system, they can order at the pre-order price on our website at https://lightraiders.com/project/lightraiders-adventure-bible-system/  The pre-order price isn't quite as good as the backer price, but it is still a discount. Pre-orders will ship out after all backer games have shipped. If you want to gift a game to a friend at the backer price, you can add one to your order when you fill out the survey.

Hello Lightraiders Family,

The work progresses! We expect to send our final version to the manufacturer at the beginning of April. At that point, much will depend on them. There will still be one iteration of proofs to complete and a final round of safety testing to meet certain international regulatory requirements. We know this doesn't sound exciting, but these are the barriers we must push through to get Lightraiders out to the world in a lasting way.

In the meantime, we are finally ready to launch a place where this family can hang out together.

As promised during the campaign, we have set up a Lightraider Academy Discord server. This is our digital Ras Telesar, where lightraiders can hang out, discuss, share adventures, and generally be blessings to each other.

Within the server, you'll find channels dedicated to the five "spheres" of the Lightraider Order. The Rangers, Navigators, Tinkers, Comforters, and the Vanguard. You'll also find channels for sharing art and adventures. This will be the only place to share fan-created adventures online.

To join the Lightraiders Discord server, CLICK THIS LINK. To prove you are human, you'll have to answer a question "Did you hear about the fog." Your answer doesn't matter. We'll let the story behind the question remain a mystery for now. Start by reading the Rules, and then take a look around. There are volunteer moderators waiting.

Merry Christmas!

We had a lovely Christmas with our families, and now we're right back at the grindstone. In the coming year we have a big list of to-dos, and we'll be checking it way more than twice. Normal publishing at this level is a one-year process through layout, copyediting, manufacturer checks and adjustments, to delivery. We're attempting to complete it in six months. So far, we're on target.

Post Campaign Pre-orders (not backers)
Most of you on this email list are backers. You can skip to the next paragraph. However, we know some of you are following because you found out about the launch after the campaign had closed. We appreciate your messages, and there WILL be a pre-order opportunity in early 2024 as promised. Stay tuned and please be patient. The price will be as low as we can make it, but it will not be as low as the backers received during the campaign.

Surveys
The term "survey" is a crowdfunding term, but it is really a final check for shipping addresses and costs that is necessitated by the longer timeline of crowdfunding. When we're ready to ship, which will be months from now, you'll get a survey link that allows you to finalize your address. As noted on the campaign pages, shipping will also be charged at that time.

RiseUp!
Finally, we will be appearing at RiseUp!, a Christian game/media culture convention May 31 to June 1 in Sevierville, TN. We are their official game partner. Put it on your calendar.

What a campaign! You brought us to nearly 200% funded, and we're so grateful.

There is much to do as we head out to meet our timeline. One of our first items of business will be to set up a pre-order page. We're doing this because from the moment the campaign ended, requests came in from late arrivals. We won't be able to offer late pre-order prices as low as the campaign prices our backers received, but we'll do our best. We're crunching the numbers and projections right now to figure that out. So, if you're one of our late followers, stick with us and fear not. A pre-order page is coming.

We have a Lightraiders Discord server almost complete. If you're not familiar with Discord, it is a type of digital community where folks can hang out, chat, and share. Ours was built entirely by the same Lightraiders teens you may have seen in our videos, under the supervision of our adult team who mostly stood around and asked, "How are you making it do that?" Those teens are pretty incredible. All Lightraiders backers will get a special Discord invitation that will give you a special role on our server, recognizing your amazing contribution to getting us off the ground. Stand by for that backer-only update.

Way to go! Thanks to you, Lightraiders has surpassed 150% funding. We can't tell you how much we appreciate you . . . but we can certainly show you.

As promised, by achieving this goal, you have earned an A4 size mini poster of Dean Zachary's mystery Lightraiders art piece for every backer at the Lightraiders Boxed Set level and up. You can see the preliminary sketch below, but what you'll receive is Dean's final inked art piece. And as a reminder, even though we can show you the art, we can't tell you its ultimate purpose. That part remains top secret. You can still vote in the poll for what you think or hope it's for.

So, now what? We hit that 150% funded goal with 4 days remaining. Can we hit 175%? 200%. Remember, the first 100% goal was our minimum level. The more backers who support this initial production run, the more affordable we'll be able to make Lightraiders and the expansions for churches and families in the future. We have five days left to make this the best possible launch. If you haven't joined in, please do. We need your support in these early days to make Lightraiders a long-term success that will touch lives for years to come.

We're almost two-thirds through the campaign, and we're so close to that 150% stretch goal. Can we reach it? As a reminder, if we hit that goal, all backers at the Lightraiders Boxed Set level and above will receive a completed A4-size print of Dean Zachary's mystery Lightraiders art. Backers can view Dean's incredible preliminary sketch in the "Funded!" update from a few days ago.

These mid-campaign days are often called "the doldrums." We need your help to keep the wind in our sails by spreading the word about the campaign. One backer has already sent us an awesome breeze. She reviewed a Lightraiders digital reviewer packet for Love Thy Nerd (super cool channel, by the way). What a blessing!

Once again, we are so grateful for all of you. We're funded, and that means this is happening! But there's more to the crowdfunding process than hitting the minimums. More backers now at this discounted pre-order price will allow us to produce at a higher volume and make the system and its modules affordable in the future. Help us reach that goal!
