I am sorry it has been so long since there has been an update.
Bottom Line Up Front: Can You Host? and The Moth Loves the Flame are moving forward, and should be sent to the printer by the end of the month.
Now for some radical honesty. Running a publishing company is hard, and it’s never really been my passion in this space. I love making games, and sharing them. I love sharing the things I make with people. Being a company and a brand, not so much.
The thing I do not love is budgeting. This project, like the project before it, went over budget. The stress made me not want to touch the work that needed to be done. It made me ashamed to even think about it.
I’ve recently managed to gather enough money to finally get this project (as well as Last Kiss) over the finish line. Layout is nearly done. I will be sending out the backer survey next week.
I have been seeing rumblings of frustration on the internet. That frustration is very valid. If you would like a refund and to no longer receive the game, please email me at [email protected] with the email address you backed the project with, and I will work on initiating a refund.
I'm so sorry it's been so quiet on updates. It's been a rough year to be a queer, but I'm sure you get that.
The news you want: I have stretch goals in from the incomparable Brie and Bluu. I am going to be working on editing and layout this month, getting product to IPR for distribution in January, and you should have the final Hot and Heavy book in your hand SOON!
Secondly, our next project Last Kiss is currently on its last day of crowdfunding. This is an excellent game about teens facing down a certain apocalypse and finding meaning with what is left in their lives.
Sorry I have been like the messy ex giving you the silent treatment.
We funded! I am so over the moon. We nearly finished during Pride Month, but getting over the finish line just after was very... Messy Queer of you, and appropriate, and I am so thankful you helped this project come to its fruity fruition.
If you all were nearby I'd be buying you all a round of Lowlifes at my favorite queer bar.
But I just want to say each of you is incredibly hot for backing this project, and I deeply appreciate each and everyone one of you.
