I hope you've been enjoying your copy of the Holiday Songbook. I just wanted to pass along that the fourth and FINAL issue of Crit One is now funding on Kickstarter. This is the last chance to catch-up on the series and experience the entire history of this zine!
Just sending a quick update that the books arrived just before Christmas, and I have paid for everyone's shipping. I intentionally waited until after the new year because postage prices during the holidays were insane. Now they're back down to their typical prices.
Thanks so much for supporting this little zine, and I hope to see you again this February for Crit One 4!
This is the final installment of this series, and I want it to be the best campaign we've ever had!
It's a collection of comics, short stories, and games where High Fantasy meets low-wage jobs. We've got tales of anal Orc PR Managers, bureaucratic treasure hunters, and ancient vampires trying to navigate the world of 20-somethings. It's going to be a great time and you won't want to miss it.
Thanks so much for supporting this next installment of the Crit One series. We didn’t reach our stretch goal, but that also means that the book is complete and digital copies can be sent ASAP!
Until the funds get released (around December 16 according to BackerKit), I’ll be prepping the files, recording the songbook demo for those backers and a few other administrative things.
Because we raised $41 over our goal, but didn’t reach the stretch goal, I’m going to ship every physical backers order for free! It’s the least I can do to thank all of our backers.
We did it! And with time to spare, so how about we throw in a bonus comic if we reach $200?
I have been thinking about it since we hit our goal and I think this is the only stretch goal that makes sense. This campaign was always meant to be low-stress and something simple to get a little more Crit One out into the world.
So, if we hit $200, we will be adding another song and comic, Aveline of the Nine Chords by David Winter & Aaron Brown! It's a story of a healer who cures plague through song, but may not be all that she appears.
Here's a little preview of the song that also plays a part in the story:
Let it rise, let it leave you, Like a breath held way too long. Lay it down, let it loose now, Let us dance to my sweet song.
