The Mighty Arcana Women
The Fishermen's Kingdom
The illustrations inspired by six characters from Macondo, grouped into two packs: The Powerful Arcane Women and The Kingdom of Fishermen.
THE POWERFUL ARCANE WOMEN
Inspired by the classic Tarot card XXI called “The World,” while in the Macondo Tarot it is called “Ascension,” in homage to the character Remedios la Bella. The frame is not included.
Inspired by the classic Tarot card XVII called “The Star,” while in the Macondo Tarot it is called “Expectancy,” in homage to the character of Meme (waiting to her lover Mauricio Babilonia). The frame is not included.
Inspired by the classic Tarot card XVII called “Strength,” in homage to the character Rebeca with her cousin José Arcadio (lying like a lion at her feet, as in a Caribbean version of Beauty and the Beast). This print has a small discount because it contains a minor spelling error: “STRENGHT” instead of “STRENGTH.” The frame is not included.
THE FISHERMEN'S KINGDOM
Inspired by the classic Tarot card: King of Pentacles (Diamonds), while in the Macondo Tarot it is called King of Fish in homage to the character Gerinaldo Márquez (Colonel Aureliano Buendía's best friend). The frame is not included.
Inspired by the classic Tarot card: Knight of Pentacles (Diamonds), while in the Macondo Tarot it is called Knight of Fish in homage to the character Pietro Crespi (Italian musician and eternal lover of Rebeca and Amaranta). The frame is not included.
Inspired by the classic Tarot card: Jack of Pentacles (Diamonds), while in the Macondo Tarot it is called Jack of Fish in homage to the character Aureliano Centeno (One of the 17 sons of the Colonel Aureliano Buendía). The frame is not included.
