We hope you’re having a great weekend. Things are coming together, and we’ve got some pics to share!

We got a “wrapped dummy” of the slipcase showing the final color treatment and packaging that the final omnibus will feature, and it looks great!

The book inside is an unprinted (blank) placeholder, but everything else is indicative of the final product. Each will come shrinkwrapped with cardboard corner protectors and a numbered, foil-stamped bookplate.

We also got a packaged “final” copy of the statue –

Unfortunately, we noticed a small piece had broken in transit, despite the incredible foam padding the factory shipped it in…

So they are adjusting the model so that the piece in question is a separate piece that will have to be inserted by the end-user. So each statue will come in four pieces instead of three. 

This is for the best, and the pieces assemble very easily.

Everything seems to be well on track for July fulfillment, as anticipated. We’ll keep you posted as things arrive and shipping gets closer.

 

In the meantime, we are running a campaign on Kickstarter right now for WORLDS BETWEEN WORLDS: THE GRAPHIC NOVELS OF JONATHAN NKONDO! It features an excellent set of books by an amazing animation director and artist who has worked on projects such as SCAVENGERS REIGN, LOVE DEATH + ROBOTS, LEAGUES OF LEGENDS, and most recently the new animated short film/music video “The Mountain, the Moon Cave, and the Sad God” by Gorillaz.

Whether or not you’re a fan of Gorillaz, you can’t deny the charm of hand-made 2D animation, and Jonathan’s creation of the “Moon Cave” sequence in the middle is a standout. As a sci-fi fan, I think you’ll really appreciate these books.
