When brainstorming what I wanted to make for my 3rd crowdfunding project, I wanted to make something funny and silly.
Thinking about who I am as a person, I like to project myself as this tough human, ready for anything, ready to cause a little chaos. But also, deep inside, I'm a soft squishy creature in need of a lot of affirmation and support.
Fluffi Punki plays with the idea of all the people who identify as fluffy, squishy beings while trying to project a bit more of a rough and gruff persona. And there's nothing wrong with that! I think it's wonderful and cute and silly!

Hello Hello! My name is Malisa and I'm the silly bean behind Fluffi Punki!
Born and raised on the tiny island of Singapore, I landed in California after 3 years of art school in Rhode Island. I have been a full-time artist for 3 years now! But before that, I was a high school art teacher and created/ sold art on the side! I am now fully in my element, Making things that make me happy and that help me find my place in the world.
Interestingly enough, my work has 2 faces. I have a very silly/cute style for my little characters and a richer, more realistic style for my illustrations and paintings. These 2 facets of my work are a direct reflection of who I am as a person!
