Project Update: A Sneak Preview at Grant Howitt’s Scenario
Hey Rebels,
K14R4 here! Good news from the Resistance network: work on TAZ is moving forward, and we're now about halfway through the layout.
This time, we wanted to give you a little sneak peek of what’s waiting for you inside the book.
Among the scenarios included in TAZ, you'll find one written by Grant Howitt, and today we're sharing a short extract from it.
“There is a creature, bound and broken, far beneath the blasted sands of the surface.
It is a vast and impossible thing. It is acres of flesh fastened upon a monstrous skeleton of echosteel, powered by vat-grown organs the size of armoured personnel carriers and filled with hundreds of kilometers of capillary. Shackled and bent as it is, obscured by siding and scaffold, it is hard to imagine what it could look like; naked and unburdened, it would look like a titanic human being melded with the sort of industrial equipment you’d need to hollow out a mountain.
They call it a BehemO₂th.
The collective knows its position, and they’re going to take it. Or kill it. Or free it. Or eat it? Whatever - this thing is so important to Subterrea that they’ve kept it hidden even from each other for centuries. And the TAZ is we’re big enough, and mean enough, to stand a chance of making an impact.
But we’re getting ahead of ourselves.
Job one is stealing something that can punch a hole in the ground the size of a Sprawl neighborhood.”
There’s still plenty more being assembled behind the scenes, and everything is progressing well.
More intel soon!
