Here's a proper look at where Liquid Steel is.
The English comic is nearly there. Shuyi is laying out the last six chapters, which should be finished by 8 October, and final proofreading follows straight after. We're also very pleased to have a foreword from Jamie Sutcliffe of Strange Attractor, due in on 18 October.
The game book is being developed alongside the comic. It goes into layout at the end of October, with layout aiming to wrap up by the 31st.
Once both books are finished, they go to print. We'll share print and shipping dates as soon as we have them, along with news on the pledge manager.
Thanks for backing something a bit unusual. We're excited to get this into your hands.

The comic is looking good and is walking towards the finish line as the layout nears its end, no changes there.
The game is in motion. The core rules text is done, Daniel Sell's adventure trilogy is done, and 90% of Gavriel Quiroga's setting conversion is ready. We're having a lovely time picking the choicest bits of art for the book in the meantime though, so no time wasted.
Thanks for your patience, and we're getting excited to see this thing in the flesh (or at least PDF-digital-flesh) soon!

Sorry for the quiet once again. Comic finished a bit ago and was waiting in the layout queue, which it is now #1 in. Once that's done, layout on the game book will begin. We're talking print slots with our dear sweet printers now so we don't have to wait in a job queue down the line.
Delays are passing, books are for life! At least they are when we make them*.

*While moving some mountains of books the other day we found a box that had taken a forklift prong to the face. Books mashed! But none of the spines came off. Those are some hench bindings.
Sorry for the silence since December. Nothing exciting, we've just been busy working away on things. I am making good progress on the translation editing and am very happy with how it's shaping up. We're on the final third still, as the middle issues of Liquid Steel are very philosophy heavy so have been going over, and over, them to ensure it is both a truthful translation and maintains as much of the poetry of the original as we possibly can. Our internal deadline for this section was the end of February (unlikely now!) but that should give you some context on how close we feel it is. Once I'm happy with the text it will go to layout and things should move pretty quickly from there.

Hi, I’ve just sent the same request for an update to Melsonia via Instagram, Facebook and email, as we still have no clear news about Liquid Steel. I’m trying to remain patient and respectful, but at this stage the lack of communication is becoming increasingly difficult to understand. If there is still no response or proper update, I will repeat the same request on these channels again in 10 days. I’m not asking for promises or unrealistic dates, only for clear and regular communication about where the project actually stands. Thanks, Nicolas

Hello, I suggest that people contact Gavriel, Melsonian Arts Council, and Quique Alcataena on Instagram, Facebook, and other avenues to get people aware of what is happening and hopefully get some movement or communication on this. Of course, please be respectful and do not use inappropriate or hostile language. It's just a book. It's just money. But also, we as consumers deserve to be updated on what is happening. We should not have to go to Discord to get a half-baked response. EDIT: I attached links to find them on IG and FB, but Backerkit labels it as spam. Fantastic. It's very unlikely that we'll be getting a refund, their is usually a time limit for these things.

Nearly 1.25 years since this project was funded and, insofar as the abysmal quality of communication has taken us, it does not feel as though we are any closer to seeing fulfillment. Meanwhile, they promote their next campaign knowing full well that Liquid Steel has been left incomplete. The next update needs to include something concrete and actionable, or Melsonia will be hard-pressed to expect my support moving forward, as will probably the case with many other backers, if that line hasn't been crossed already.

You still haven't delivered this crowdfunding and are already asking money for the next Troika book. Like I said, really classy...
