Hi!! ♡ Welcome to the first combined project between Midnight Springs and Chocolat Chaud (pronounced show-cola-show)!! We have collaborated on designs before and were in Early Summerween together last year, but this is our first time working together jointly on the same project with both of our own unique concepts sharing the stage. ♡ We're super excited to share them with you!
Each piece will include material info and design specs listed below so you can be sure if it's right for you. Our campaign includes necklaces, rings, and enamel pins too!
We've been working with our jewelry manufacturer for 8 years overall, and have never had any major issues. The pieces turn out stunning every time regardless of material/composition or complexity. These are some examples of past creations with this manufacturing partner:

This elegant gothic architecture inspired collar pin is made of surgical stainless steel and features some beautiful cubic zirconias in clear iridescent, pink or black. This pin includes two locking pin clutches. The chains are joined by rings on the back of the pin and are removable. This pin is tarnish resistant, and of course, nickel, cadmium, and lead free.

This adorable design was inspired by all the precious feline friends who have left us but still very much live in our hearts and memories. This necklace is made of surgical stainless steel, which is a great option for those with metal sensitivities and allergies, and features some lovely cubic zirconias in clear iridescent or black. It is strung like a pearl necklace with 5mm (0.2") black obsidian or white moonstone beads. This necklace is tarnish resistant, and of course, nickel, cadmium, and lead free.

A 2-part necklace with a mechanism to be able to move the "blade"*! Great for fidgeting and makes a very satisfying noise (though may annoy those around you). The white details shown here will be glittery white enamel, while the darker grey on the mockup is recessed detailing for added dimension. This necklace will be rhodium-plated brass. Chain is stainless steel. Both the brass and plating are nickel, cadmium, and lead free.

This design is inspired by the "spoon theory" regarding chronic illness and how difficult it is to manage your tasks for the day depending on the energy you have. Midnight Springs' goal with these has always been for them to be a subtle conversation piece regarding chronic mental or physical health conditions and how they are usually invisible to others.

♡Asymmetrical Black Cats Earrings♡
These sleepy cats earrings are made of black rhodium plated stainless steel. They come with 1cm (0.4") wide earring backs to achieve a secure fit and prevent drooping! They are also nickel, cadmium, and lead free.
Enamel Pins: 2-3 months including shipping time to us*
Jewelry: 3-4.5 months including shipping time to us
*in the last several years, receiving pins with significantly high flaw rates and requiring remakes of some or all has become commonplace. That's why there are very few enamel pins in this campaign. This estimate may be on the low end if remakes are required.
Both will be submitted for production at the same time, 2 weeks after the campaign ends and funds are received. As a result, the estimated fulfillment date for the campaign as a whole is November and that's with a LOT of wiggle-room.
Considering the really good track record with this jewelry manufacturer over the last 8 years, the production should just be one and done (no remakes) with quality control moving very quickly.
Cost is pretty much split 75% to the new merchandise, 5% shipping to the US from the factories, and 10% fees. There is a small buffer in the case of errored payments, which always happens.
All pledges will be shipped from within the US! That goes for all backers regardless of whose designs you pledged for. While Chocolat Chaud is based in Japan, tariff and customs fees hikes and uncertainties make shipping to US backers from outside the US extremely expensive and stressful, so we did this campaign as a joint one with Midnight Springs leading fulfillment. That way, everyone should receive their pledges without any unforeseen issues and shipping fees should be as you normally anticipate them to be when you order from the US.
Here's an estimation of cost to ship to you:
Shipping costs will be charged later when you receive the survey asking for your address, this should be in late May-early June. In the survey, the shipping cost is based on weight. These prices above are the minimum - if you order a lot, the weight may get to the point that shipping cost sees a significant increase.
Processing time once the items are received will vary. As Midnight Springs is chronically ill, it wouldn't be fair to anyone to confidently state an exact timeline for packaging and then not meet it. The aim is for things to ship out within 6 weeks of being received - quality control may take quite some time, then careful packaging and sorting, and then shipping. The more backers there are, the longer it will take. They will ship in batches at random. Please keep that in mind!
Midnight Springs is significantly scaling down her business in order to focus more energy on game development and hopes to finally finish her first visual novel soon. It will be up for final-stretch crowdfunding sometime this year, 2026.
