If you want to just read about fulfillment, please skip below; I can't reformat the template so that backer-only info is up top, sorry. So I'm opening with "general" information (mostly about the Holiday Market, and the finished snake designs).
It started out as a bit helpful through the grieving process, but by the end of it I started to feel pretty physically ill and panicky from having to go through so many old photos for reference. So the majority of the designs wound up being "fun" rather than realistic-y chibified renditions of snake colorings.
The garter snakes I have had over the years were Millie (fitchi), Sweetcheeks (fitchi), Toffee (checkered), Cupcake (albino checkered), Medusa (radix), Lilith (melanistic radix), Serenity (wandering), and Cupcake's clone Sprinkle that she randomly shocked us with in 2022 who was unfortunately born very sick. Everyone other than Medusa and Sweetcheeks/Millie got a more whimsical representation based on their names, plus some random designs like the goth rainbow.
The reason the design is curling around itself instead of being more wrapped around or coiled, is because that's what Cupcake always did immediately upon being picked up.
This is an OLD pic at this point, but she would literally pretzel herself unprompted, this was just a good example of the tail thing. 💛
I'm going to ask after the Holiday Market is over if I can still link a preorder store to it despite it all being ready to ship items - if they say yes then only the gacha snakes will be in that preorder store (nothing else), because my usual online store will probably be finito by the time they're finished being manufactured. That way, they won't be on surveys so no one's orders will get held up, and I don't have to extend my shop's lifetime even further than I have the bandwith for.
Additionally, it's now also confirmed for sure that for the market I'll be cross-collaborating with Fantasy Fox Creations again. 💜
