We wanted to share a production update! Over the past few months, we made a few design adjustments for manufacturing. At the moment, the pins are still in production.
π¨ Pin Design Updates π¨
We made slight adjustments to certain pin designs to adhere to manufacturing specifications. We did our best to keep the original design look as much as possible. We mainly adjusted the sizes of a few pins to accommodate manufacturing and create a more visually balanced pin collection. Here is a summary of the changes:
We increased the Inkwell & Quill Pin size from 1 inch to 1.25 inches because the cut-out areas need to be slightly bigger for manufacturing
We increased the Mysterious Parchment Pin size from 1 inch to 1.125 inches, so it visually balances better with the Inkwell & Quill Pin.
We slightly decreased the Oracleβs Crystal Ball Pin size from 1.25 inches to 1.125 inches, so it visually balances better with the rest of the pin collection.
We refined some details of the Poseidonβs Trident Pin and added an extra wave detail to add more space for back posts.
We also received the Medusa Head die-cut stickers, and they turned out so great! We canβt wait to ship them out as pledge rewards.

β Updated Project Timeline β
Ideally, we were hoping to ship all rewards this month, but production is taking longer than expected (our manufacturer was also on holiday in September for the Mid-Autumn Festival). We estimate production may need an extra month. We have updated our estimated project timeline as follows:

πΊπΈ Update On US Shipping From Canada π¨π¦
The United States and Canada are still in a βtrade war,β and both countries have been increasing counter-tariffs over the past month (up to a 50% tariff increase for certain products). Unfortunately, enamel pins may be subject to the recently increased tariffs. We plan to ship our pins directly from our manufacturer in China to our US fulfillment partner to minimize tariffs.
We are currently coordinating with our manufacturer and our US fulfillment partner. We are outsourcing the packaging to our manufacturer and splitting the production shipment between Canada and the USA. We will provide more updates as we get closer to fulfillment.
Survey responses are now locked! Thank you to everyone who submitted their survey. 93% of surveys have been submitted.
We will soon be reviewing the quantity counts recorded in the surveys. If you are a backer who opted for the pay-over-time option, we will order extra of each design to ensure there will be enough pins to fulfill everyone's pledges.
π Reminder of Upcoming Second Payment π
Emails have been sent out to remind backers of the upcoming second payment. The second payment includes shipping fees, taxes (Canada only), survey add-ons, and any outstanding payments.
We have set the second payment to be charged automatically in 48 hours. You may update your payment method within the next 48 hours before the second payment is processed. The charge may appear on your bank statements as "MOCHIVILLE" or "BACKERKIT.COM - WEAPONS of HEROES 5".

The next step is to complete your survey. We cannot fulfill your pledge rewards without your survey response. The survey lets us know which pin designs you are pledging for and the address to ship your pins to. The survey also helps us determine the quantity of pins we need to order from our manufacturer.
We have currently sent smoke test surveys to 5% of backers (12 backers). If the smoke test surveys have any issues or concerns, we greatly appreciate any feedback! You can message us on Backerkit or email us at [email protected].
Once we receive the smoke test responses and everything looks great, the rest of the surveys will be emailed out! We will post another update once the surveys are ready!
