Backers at the ALL-IN pledge levels get early access to the text content of the Between Earth & Sky corebook. This will consist of a text documents. We’ll deliver it as soon as the text is complete and presentable (meaning through the early stages of editing, but not necessarily proofed or finalized). We expect to deliver it about six months ahead of the game's release—probably late summer of 2027. Although this draft will not be formatted or laid out, it'll have all the information you need to play Between Earth & Sky: the Roleplaying Game.

We have been aggressively building our VTT support over the past year or so. Developing a game on a VTT is very resource intensive, and, as always for MCG, we want to do it right. That requires us to keep it to manageable steps. We don’t have the resources to commit, at this point, to a wide range of VTTs—but we’re only at the beginning of the journey, not the end. We’re continuing to grow this capability, and look forward expanding it not just to our other games, but to additional platforms. We know Foundry is popular with our core audience!

Absolutely! It even adds a fourth element to the character line, unique to this game: the character’s prophecy. (See the Playing Between Earth & Sky section of the campaign.) The game has other bespoke mechanics, too, developed specifically for the unique nature of the game world, characters, and adventures. And, being a Cypher game, these elements will be compatible with other Cypher games. So you’ll find lots of cool ideas you can easily import into your other adventures, where they’re a good fit.

The BEaS Prophecy Deck definitely has its roots in the Sooth Deck, as well as in the tarot-style deck that we made for The Devil's Dandy Dogs—but it is its own thing, made specifically for the unique mechanics of this game. Each card will have various items on it that play into the group Divination, the character Prophecies, the gods, the magic that's at play, and so on. The deck is designed to be used closely with the Story Clock, helping the GM introduce interesting elements, keep the story on track, and make adjustments on the fly.

The Between Earth & Sky Resource Deck will contain creatures, cyphers other items, and GM intrusions. All of these items are unique to this game—the deck won’t repeat, for example, a Cypher that also appears in the Manifest Cypher Deck. Until design is complete, we don’t know the exact mix of card types, but it will be fairly comparable to, for example, the Old Gods of Appalachia Resource Deck.

BackerKit Crowdfunding is an all-or-nothing collaborative funding platform. Creators share their project ideas and set a funding goal with a deadline. Backers pledge money to help make the project possible.

If the project meets its goal by the deadline, pledges are charged and the creator moves forward. If it doesn’t, no one is charged.

Pledging in crowdfunding is a commitment to support the creation of a new product or project. Unlike a traditional purchase, you're not buying an item that already exists. Instead, your contribution helps bring a creative idea to life, and in return, you typically receive rewards (such as the product itself) as a thank you for your early support.

After the campaign ends, you'll receive a survey to pay for any applicable shipping fees, calculated based on your shipping address.

Pay Over Time allows you to split your pledge into multiple payments over a set period. Your card will be charged according to the payment schedule (four monthly payments). Only available for projects that enable this feature. Learn More »

Only the project creator and the BackerKit Support Team can see your pledge and contact information. Other backers and the public cannot see your individual pledge amount or personal details.

You can change or adjust your pledge level and add-ons before the campaign ends. After the project concludes, cancellations or changes are at the creator's discretion and may depend on what stage the project is in.

Overtime Mode extends your campaign past its original end time to give backers a final chance to make their pledge. It will add an additional 10 minutes past the end time as long as pledges keep coming in. The campaign will end when there is a 10-minute period without any new pledges.
