Project Update: Big Thank you and Next Steps
Thank you my friends.
A bit of a dream come true to publish some kick ass sword-and-sorcery fiction, and you've got us one step closer to that reality. Such a great response. $11k+.
Over the next month, I'm going to be fairly quiet. We have 50,000+ words to run through, produce final edited pieces and lay them out. We have art to direct and printing to get set up.
My goal is to have this magazine in your hands (or at least on its way to you) by the beginning of June. That goal is somewhat personal: That's the start of my convention season, so I want them in hand as much as you do.
As of the closing of the project, we're very far along in the process. Here's a look behind the curtain:
Fiction -- We have all words in house. Editing has commenced.
Art -- We have the cover (obviously) and about 60% of the art in hand. The rest is commissioned and in progress.
I'm hoping to have editing completed by the end of next week, get final approval on all the fiction and start the layout process by the first week of April.
We're moving fast.
I want to thank you again for your support. Maybe it's just another crowdfunding that you're going to get updates from, but it means to world to us. I'm really looking forward to what's next after this issue. More exciting announcements on that later.
