Final Deadline, Replacement Copies
Hi Team,

I hope you're all enjoying the module! Just some quick housekeeping stuff for this update.

Final Survey/Shipping Deadline

The cut-off date for completing your survey and paying your shipping is imminent.

If you don't complete your survey and pay for your shipping by May 24 2026, you'll be partially refunded, and your zine will be put up for general sale. They can't collect dust on my shelves forever.

Shipping Check-In

All the physical zines should have arrived by now.  If your zine hasn't arrived yet, please fill out the form linked in the backers-only section of this update (at the bottom) and I'll get in touch to sort things out. The form closes on May 24, 2026.

That's it from me.

Cheers,
Norgilliam.

Wave 1 Shipping Sent!
Hi Team,

Shipping Update

Me and my minions have packed and sent all the first-wave shipments. All up, it took five people about seven hours to send around 750 orders. Here's some photos of the before and after.

Woah! Boxes!

Woah! Different boxes?

I dropped these all off at the post-office early this week, so expect them to show up in... a month? Maybe a month and a half? Be sure to share when yours shows up, and it should give a good signal to others to expect theirs to arrive soon (if they live in the same country).

Also, if you've already read the module and enjoyed it, be sure to leave a comment on the itch page, and/or share it on socials/discord. OOOOooOOoOOoooo I love (hopefully good) publicity!

Project Shoutout

I didn't contribute anything to the project, but I want to want to highlight the Triangle Agency Fan Zine. The zine team have put something truly stellar together; the graphic-design, writing, and artwork are all top notch stuff, and I'm really excited to see it have a print release.

Check it out if you're a Triangle Agency fan that wants to expand your home branch further, or an aspiring General Manager that's yet to get into Triangle Agency (but you'll probably need the core rulebook too).

That's it from me! Thanks again for supporting my work, and keep an eye peeled for my next sinister and evil project.

Final Call for 1st Wave Shipping
Hi Team,

A peek at my sick and twisted project folder. 'JV' is the initials from project's working title (so mysterious oooooo you're so intrigued)

Physical

I'm picking up everything from the printers tomorrow, and packing/shipping the day after, so if you haven't completed your survey and successfully paid your shipping, this is your last chance to be in the first wave of shipping.

Digital

If you've already had a read of the digital version (or perhaps even run it already?) it would mean a lot if you leave a comment and review on the itch page. Keep in mind that written reviews on itch aren't public, so if you want people to be able to read your feedback, post your review in a comment at the bottom of the page as well.

If you're more of the blogging type, I always read blog posts about my work; to see what went well and what didn't, and (hopefully) improve at my craft.

That's it for now. Beam me and my minions some energy for this weekend; it's gonna be a lot of packing!

Cheers,
Norg.

THE BIG ONE — Imminent Shipping & Downloads
Hi Team,

BIG news today. It might have something to do with this cool mockup.

Giant orange-pink background not included. Stickers also not included unless you backed in the first 48 hours (sorry to all the slowpokes).

Shipping

I'm excited to announce that Roach Motel is a week away from shipping. I've signed off on the proof copies, and the fill print run is underway. Me and my evil minions (friends) will be packing and shipping everything on the 21st of February.

What this means, is that you need to fill out your survey and have your card successfully charge by the 18th, or else you'll miss the first wave of shipping! Please, double check your survey in case you forgot or something went wrong. As a reminder, if you tried to use a Discover card, it failed; you will need to use a different card or pay via the PayPal option.

Digital Release

Alongside this, Roach Motel will be going live on itch in the next day or two. When it does, you will also receive an email with your download key. A big thanks to everyone who donated community copies, we managed to hit 170 total!

That's it from me. Thanks again for supporting my work!

Cheers,
Norg.

Failed Card Charges
Hi Team,

I've done a little bit of investigation, and it seems like a decent chunk of failed card charges are because certain types of credit cards have pretty spotty coverage outside of the USA.

  • If you tried to pay for shipping with a Discover® card (or if your failed for some other mysterious reason), I've enabled PayPal as an option; hopefully this gives you some more payment options.
  • If you're still having trouble with your payment, please send in a support ticket and BackerKit support should be able to help out.
  • If your card already charged fine, um, sorry for polluting your inbox. Here's a (very poor) sketch (by me) of the art print stretch goal. Please imagine it looks good.

Wow! My (read: your) imagination made it look so good!

Also, project update: The booklet, stickers, and art print are all getting test prints next week. Fingers crossed, I put in the final print order either late next week or early the week after. Wahoooo.

Cheers,
Norg.

(Almost) Print Ready!
Hi Team,

I'm excited to say, that after a lot of reshuffling, rewrites, and trimming, Roach Motel is now (pretty much) done. Writing, art, and layout are all complete; the last thing to do is get this thing proofread so I don't make a fool of myself.

Not a single inch of room to spare.

While that's getting done (and is out of my hands), I'll be working on the printouts and such. The stickers and print are coming along really nicely. For the developer’s commentary version, I'll be getting that done around April; once my Mausritter Month project is out the door too.

We're on track to print in early-February, which (one would hope) puts the zines in your hands around late-March to early-April; very postal service dependent. To that end, I'll be locking orders and charging cards soon! If you haven't yet (4% of you), fill out your surveys >:( !!!

That’s all for now. See you soon!

Cheers,
Norg.
