Well that didn’t take long! We’ve just hit our €50k Stretch Goal, which means we’ve unlocked the Dead Mall scenario by Elaine Lithgow.
“The world's ending and everything must go! So run, don't walk, to the White Oak mall for some killer deals! Grab your friends, fill your carts, and prepare to survive a siege of shopaholics — both living and dead. Hurry, while stocks last!”
We did want to clear up some confusion, as we messed up some of the wording and graphics on the page. The intent of this stretch goal was to give us the funds to create the scenario, and then backers could add it to their pledge as a paid add-on if they wanted it. However, the way we set up the page and pledge levels, we have sections that say “includes all stretch goals”, so a few folks rightly asked if this included Dead Mall. We absolutely do not want to seem like we are deceiving folks, so we’ve decided to give Dead Mall to all backers for free. So if you backed digitally, you’ll get a PDF, if you backed physically, you’ll get a booklet and PDF.
If you already added Dead Mall as an add-on, you can cancel it — you’re getting it for free now! We can’t edit or turn off those add-ons, so we’ll see what we can do to fix this, but for now, just know everyone is getting a copy of Dead Mall!
