Thank you all for being part of the Ophoric Labs Holiday Market. Sign up for those Patreon accounts because there's a lot of extra content out on them that may expand your next game session.
What will you find where?
Ophoric Labs - Mostly DCC stuff, Madventures (Mab Libs vs. Adventure creation), Creatures, locations, random RPG thought experiments, and more.
Wizard Sea Chronicles - Some content from the other one that I repurpose specifically for the Wizard Sea world, Side Quests, new locations, creatures and further expansion of the world.
I hope your 2026 is filled with dice rolling, monster slaying, and ADVENTURE!
The first attempt didn't look right so I removed it all and am trying again. I thought it was going to be straight forward and easy peasy, silly me. ;)
You might get several emails or notes about it, so if you go look and there's nothing there, my apologies.
For some reason this went to followers who didn't back the project... when it wasn't supposed to.
Verily I shall endeavor to submit all items to the carrier as soon as I am able.
I graciously thank thee for thine attendance and attention to this matter.
Here's the Backerkit explanation, sorry for the mass email redundancy.
What happened:
The source of the technical issue was our automated email service, specifically our 48-Hour Mailer that supports creators in notifying audiences who have yet to pledge about a recently launched project. Today we had a large amount of 48-Hour Mailers queued due to the BackerKit Holiday Market launching two days ago in which 160+ creators are participating.
- Our email services have supported large events like this in the past, however this time the automated checks we have in place that mark emails as “sent” and prevent resending notifications failed unexpectedly. This caused some emails to resend to audiences within a short time period.
- To ensure no further duplicate emails would be sent, our only recourse was to pause this and several actions on the site, including most emails (pledge confirmation, password resets, etc.).
- To fully resolve the issue and apply a permanent fix, we briefly took the site into maintenance mode and resolved the issue within 10 minutes.
Featured Add-on: Sinking the Stercorarius
All tiers including "Throw a Coin to your Writer" the A La Carte Tier get access to this steal of a deal. ARRRRR!!!
The Featured Add-on is the first adventure I published back in 2020 when the world was a very different place. Even though I look at it and feel like there are a lot of things I could improve, from what I've learned over the last five years, I'm also still proud of it as it was successful (279% funded) and is still fun to play. I remember all the things people said like "It should THE Sinking of THE Stercorarius" to wit I replied "No." And how one reviewer was mad that it wasn't a funnel to get people on a ship and sailing or pirating (it is, but that one sinks, if you want to control the ship that's what the Epilogue is for).
For $20 (which is a steal) you don't just get the basic adventure, it includes everything I produced for that crowdfund campaign. The MSRP on the book is $15 and the judge's screen is $10. That's already a $5 savings. On top of that you get all the extras from the digital Expansion Pack which includes the Epilogue scenario, some new DCC classes, actual sea shanties by my friends in Pay the Devil and Ivan Wayne Baker, my friend Warklaw's really cool character sheet and my less cool one.
Here are some previews of those character sheets.
In the main adventure there are some unique creatures I whipped up based on real sea creatures.
Here's the full run down of what's in the $20 package.
Sinking the Stercorarius Super Deluxe Value Pack
Physical Sinking the Stercorarius Adventure (A $15 value)
Physical Judge's screen with beautiful art by Jennifer Greenfield. (A $10 value)
The Digital Deluxe Edition Sinking the Stercorarius (via DTRPG) (A $10 value)
Included items:
The StS PDF, the StS Expansion Pack, Sea Shanties (some recorded specifically for StS), and Rules of Engagement my Quick Naval Combat rules compatible with DCC and OSR.
The Expansion Pack itself contains:
Sinking the Stercorarius Epilogue - Behold! The Aethernauts Rise!
2 New DCC Classes - The Salty Survivor, and the Unharvested
Sinking the Stercorarius Pirate Theme - A new way to play the adventure along with new characters and a Pirate Occupation table.
Sinking the Stercorarius Reference Cards - Cards for all the creatures and unique items in the game.
Warklaw's Hand Drawn Nautical Character Sheets
Christophor's Ship's Wheel Nautical Character Sheets
A complete token set for the adventure and the Pirate Theme.
VTT Maps for the adventure, the Pirate Theme and the Epilogue.
A Salty Funnel stretch goals treasure map

This is the very pack I will send you a code for here:

15+ projects backed in 2024
I own: Ziggurat of the Mega-Maiden Ziggurat of the Mega-Maiden (Blackest Night edition) Ziggurat of the Megaton Maiden Wizard Sea Chronicles Zine - Volume 1 (Print only) Sinking the Stercorarius (PDF only) and the Electronic Atomic Altar So what to do? I pledged for the The Wizard Sea Collection as well as the Sinking the Stercorarius Super Deluxe Value Pack. Why? I'll now have Volume 2 of the Wizard Sea and PDFs of both Volumes (very helpful when running games) plus an extra Volume 1. Sure, I can get the Super Deluxe Value Pack as a PDF only (with a discount as I already own the adventure), but the Add-On gets me Sinking the Stercorarius in Print. While the PDF rocks for running games, I've wished I also had this 44 page adventure in book form. Now I'll have both. In addition, I'll get the PDFs of a ton of stuff that will expand Sinking the Stercorarius (including some sea shanties I can listen to during play) as well as naval combat rules I might be able to use on other DCC adventures (I say 'might' as I haven't seen them yet). If you're on the fence about the project? Jump in! Both Ziggurat of the Mega-Maiden and Ziggurat of the Megaton Maiden offer a fun and challenging adventure (you'll have 1 for DCC and 1 for DCC). Wizard Sea Chronicles Zine Volume 1 offers an agnostic adventure that introduces a new monster along with information about the area, a religion, a cult, and another monster. It gives the Judge a setting where all sorts of adventure can take place. From my understanding, Volume 2 takes place 3 miles south of Volume 1 and allows the continuation of the campaign with more hooks, info, and another adventure. I'm looking forward to getting more info on this area! If you've joined the project but aren't sure about the Add-On, let me encourage you to purchase it while you can. The main adventure is nicely laid-out, has occupation tables based on theme, some tokens you can use for VTT, and suggestions for how to run the adventure at 2 hrs, 4 hrs and 6 hrs. There are also notes for Judges as you are reading the adventure which offer suggestions on timing so you can adjust things based on where the Party is in the adventure compared to how much time is left. I think this is a great addition as it will help Judges the first few times they run the adventure. As stated before, you can just buy the PDFs, but I think you'll be like me and want a print version of this adventure as well.
