After looking at the Map & Token Sheet in our previous Closer Look update, today we are taking a look at the ION Heart Card Deck!
This double card deck contains over 100 cards for all your gameplay needs. It includes two very different decks: the Encounter deck, and the Armoury deck. Let’s delve a bit deeper into each one:
The Encounter Deck
Need to rustle up a quick encounter? This deck allows you to deal out an adventure in seconds, perfect for creating quick Encounters on the fly, or as inspiration for making your own stories.
Enemies: Populate your Encounters with unique enemies with clear and quick reference cards.
Objectives: Need a focus for your players in an Encounter? These objectives will provide rewards and ideas for different styles of gameplay you can create in an Encounter.
Encounters Seeds: Need some inspiration? Deal an Encounter seed and get inspired for Peaceful, Protective and Dangerous stories.
Use this deck to make sure you never miss a beat and always have an Encounter up your sleeve!
The Armoury Deck
This deck is designed to make outfitting your Mech for whatever challenges you may face a fast and easy process. Try out new loadouts, reward players with new gear, and experiment with tonnes of unique combinations. Inside this deck you’ll find:
Weapon Cards: Melee and Ranged weapons ready to fight back against your enemies
Auxiliary Cards: A set of Aux systems to plug into your Mech to help you out in difficult moments
Mod Cards: Switch up how your weapons and auxilliary systems work, or plug mods directly into your Mech’s chassis. What combinations will you create?
