Project Update: Distribution: Digitally Complete, Physically Underway!

Hi folks!

I hope you're all keeping well and looking forward to the imminent season of blankets, ghosts, and blanket-shaped-ghosts.

I'm pleased to report that progress has been occurring in the quest to send you all some horrible games!

A highly professional and tidy office space where a normal person might collate sets of Darkened Hill & Dale handouts. Definitely not a chaotic, goblin-esque lair that's still strewn with half-unpacked boxes and detritus from moving in.

Digital Distribution

  • Digital copies of Darkened Hill & Dale, TERMINUS were distributed through DriveThruRPG yesterday; if you were expecting to receive any of these but didn't get an email from DTRPG then please do get in touch!
  • Digital copies of The Night Clerk were also sent out yesterday via DTRPG by its author, Ross Payton.
  • Digital copies of Fear and Panic will also be distributed through its author, Lyme, in the immediate future. Lyme uses itch.io, as a heads up, so keep an eye out for an email about that if you're expecting one.

Stage Fright

I'm also very pleased to report that the reward for backing both my campaign and Alewood Games's ARKYVR campaign, Stage Fright, is finally complete and has also just been distributed directly through BackerKit!

The header from Stage Fright!

In a turn of events that won't surprise anyone who knows me, I decided that Stage Fright required a map – and promptly got a bit carried away making one. So much for a one-page game! It's included as a separate PDF so that you can fling it at players more easily (but you may prefer to leave them map-less, of course).

The layout of the depicted theatre is a modified version of the Leicester Square Theatre, which sits beneath a circular church that was once a panorama building. It's an unusual space, and happens to be the theatre that hosted the iconic performances of Alien: On Stage.

Stage Fright is supplied as a visually jazzy pair of PDFs, but we thought that this might not be suitable for all eyeballs, so we've also given you a 'simple' copy of the files with less aggressive font choices and colour schemes.

Alewood Games and I hope you enjoy this mini scenario. Please do tell us if you decide to play it!

Physical Distribution

I've assembled and carefully packaged a glittering cascade of mosaic pin badges, tucked a jangle of keyrings into little envelopes, collated hundreds of handouts into folders, and stocked up on biscuits.

It's all systems go for sending out your rewards!

Mosaic tile pins in progress. I only very slightly covered my hands in epoxy during this process!

(Almost all of you have completed your surveys, by the way, which is much appreciated!)

I'll be personally packing your rewards and sending them out as quickly as possible. I do have to accommodate things like my corporate work (blergh, capitalism) and a date with a paternoster lift (yay, slightly dangerous infrastructure), but I'm going to try my very best to have sent everything on its way by 12th October. It'll be a steady trickle of dispatched between now and then.

This is all a bit later than hoped, but we're getting there! Thanks for bearing with me.

I'll report back in a couple of weeks with another update. Until then!

Yours in perpetual horror,
Sarah
