Hey Wild Ones,

I'm here with Digby's first ever update, and it's a great one! Although Digby is a complex design, which is the main reason for his unexpected delays, he is easily worth the wait.

🐲 Digby Dragon's current look:

I am over the moon with how he has turned out thus far! He has the cutest face, but I think his little yellow tummy is my favorite feature - simply because it makes me smile. 😊 Runner up is his ear frills, vaguely inspired by The Creature from the Black Lagoon. The embroidery will be changing to the same plush fur as the yellow tummy and wings, but I love the feature all the same.

I am so pleased with how he has turned out so far but, speaking of changes, here's the next batch of edits we are waiting on:

📝 Change the eyes to be complete embroidery, rather than the current fabric pupil.
- To note: Color may not be as exact, but it will pop nicely!
📝 Change Digby's inner ear shapes from embroidery to fluffy yellow fabric, like the tummy. This should be on the front and back, not just the front.
📝 Change feet to three toes design, not hoof design.
📝 Change armor fabric to fabric with embroidery for the wood grain, rather than printed fabric with only the "nails" embroidered.
- To note: The fabric colors may not be close to this color, but will feel higher quality. They may also turn out to appear "warmer", which would be a bonus!
📝 Same note to the sword and shield.
📝 Backpack should be more fabric and embroidery - less print overall. The small pocket should at least be embroidered, if not openable.
📝 Add Velcro to the back of the shirts, and the trousers (at the top of the tail hole) for ease of taking the clothes on/off.
📝 Wing embroidery should be the same green as on the chest, rather than yellow, and have a tapered instead of flat line look. Wings should also be closer to the back spine spikes.

All of these items and notes are the last few steps it will take to get Digby to align with the original vision of his design! This will ensure that the images shown on the campaign page reflect the Plushpanion and accessories you will be receiving as accurately as possible. If all of these design notes are tackled successfully, we'll be able to have the prototype shipped in soon, to better help spread the word about the Fabled Friends campaign!

With that said, due to Digby's complexity, the upcoming Chinese New Year break for our manufacturing partners, and finalizing the fulfilment of the Eclipse Pals project... we will be pushing the campaign date of Plushpanions Series 3: Fabled Friends to May 5th, 2026.

I could continue to list a number of reasons why the date needs to be nudged out, but the main reason is that I promised myself, and you, that I would not start another Plushpanions campaign without the prototype in my hands. Too many dates in our previous campaigns have been estimated without understanding the complexity and care that Plushpanions require to be an outstanding plush. We strive to put out thoughtfully designed, responsibly crafted plush companions and accessories. A process that we will not cut corners on or rush!

This also gives me more time to work on stickers, pins, graphics and a myriad of other goodies to really make this campaign sing - I hope you're looking forward to this adventure when it launches May 5th, 2026!
