Lord names: The Discordian, The Inciter, The Instigator, The Idiot, The Absurd, The Undoing. And of course The Heart of Gold but that's taken!
For the die faces, here are some ideas:
1. Move the nearest die off the mat (becomes a Lost Die)
2. "Butterfly (effect)" - change the question you asked for the reading to a randomly generated question - method of generating the question is up to you... use an online random question generator, open a book on your bookshelf to a random page and read until you come to a question (bibliomancy), phone a friend, phone an enemy... whatever.
3. Deliberately misinterpret the nearest die - opposite meaning, perhaps. The name of this die face would be a mispronunciation of the Die Lord's name.... for example, if the Lord was The Discordian, then the die face would be an accordion. Heh.
I'll try to think of some more. Dang you're right this is super gimicky!
