Project Update: New Timeline & Behind-the-Scenes Progress

We just wanted to share a small check-in on this project — especially since it’s been a little while since our last update.
First of all, thank you once again for being here and for your patience.
Even when things are quiet on the surface, this project has never stopped being worked on — and we’re really excited to finally start sharing some progress with you again 🥹

Even when things are quiet on the surface, this project has never stopped being worked on — and we’re really excited to finally start sharing some progress with you again 🥹
🧵 Where we are now
Over the past months, we’ve been focusing on transforming all Botanicows designs from their original campaign versions into fully production-ready infographic files.
Even though the designs you saw during the campaign were already detailed, for manufacturing we need to rebuild everything in vector format by hand, define exact Pantone colors, line thicknesses, metal areas, and any eventual special effects.
This step is a lot more technical than it might seem — and it took us longer than expected to refine everything to a level we’re truly happy with 🌱
Even though the designs you saw during the campaign were already detailed, for manufacturing we need to rebuild everything in vector format by hand, define exact Pantone colors, line thicknesses, metal areas, and any eventual special effects.
This step is a lot more technical than it might seem — and it took us longer than expected to refine everything to a level we’re truly happy with 🌱
✨ The good news:
We’re now in the final stage of this process, and we're about to send the files to our manufacturer.
Some behind-the-scenes production prep
These are some examples of the technical sheets we manually prepare for each design, before the manufacturing begins; including turning the sketched designs into outlined-raster files, then production-ready vector cleanup, Pantone matching, screenprint planning, pin back layout and other details.
⚙️ What comes next
Here’s what the next steps will look like:
- Finalizing vector files & production specs
- Sending everything to the manufacturer for new quotations and artwork proofs
- Reviewing and approving their first previews
- Starting production
🗓️ Updated (tentative) timeline
We want to give you a rough idea of timing, while still keeping things realistic:
- 🌿 File finalization: currently ongoing (final stage)
- 📩 Manufacturer submission: expected soon after
- 💳 Post-campaign add-ons charge: expected shortly before production begins
- 🧵 Production start: late Spring / early Summer 2026
- 📦 Fulfillment: expected to begin from late Summer 2026 onward (depending on production progress)
- 🇺🇸 U.S. tariffs update: any Customs duty/fee (if IEEPA / DDP-related charges are still applicable at that time) will still be collected separately via BackerKit, closer to shipment, if required.
Of course, any such charge would always be communicated in advance through a separate communication.
As always, these are estimates — but we’ll keep refining them as soon as we move into active production.
💚 A small personal note
The past months have been… a lot. And it hasn’t really been just a phase. Things have continued to feel unusually difficult for a long time now.
And the reality of running a small creative business in the current global landscape has become more complicated, in so many ways, than we ever anticipated.
Between logistics challenges, new international shipping regulations, and managing ongoing fulfillments, our time and energy have been pulled in many directions at once.
But even in the middle of all that, despite things now looking quite different from what we originally hoped for, Botanicows has been quietly growing behind the scenes and we are still putting our whole hearts into bringing this project to life. Seeing it finally getting closer to production feels really special to us 🪴
And the reality of running a small creative business in the current global landscape has become more complicated, in so many ways, than we ever anticipated.
