With the Wand of Conflagration, can't you just hold onto it for 2 months gaining 2 extra charges then eliminate the final boss (level 5) automatically when in the same space?
The base rules have some caveat that you can't "remove" the final boss. The treasure in the base that lets you spend x Spirit to remove a Level x Foe from your space - specifically disallowed for the Level 5 Boss. So I'm sure that applies here too.

You can never remove the adversary with a foe removal effect.
