Updates

I forgot to give them an embroidery color for the legs so I gave them that this morning. I answered a bunch of other questions so just waiting on that for now. Seems I need to be more annoying. I spent a lot of May trying to get final funds for the Frankencorgis and expected they'd be better at updating me on this. 

Sorry haven't been trying to be radio silence on this lol but my credit card is full of plush so I am trying to clear that up a lot to start whichever sample actually gets completed next. Will it be this? Will it be the Kitsune? Who knows but at least we'll hopefully have an update on this soon as they said this week. 

Fingers crossed this looks amazing and we can finally start production on something.

I am so frustrated with this project so I am going to revisit everything so we know where we sit on this currently.  I told them I will not be making new plush until these are corrected. You guys need your orders. I need these because I also want them + I know some people wanted them as keychains. Can't exactly do keychains til the big ones are correct. Like please I need these done. I may do a restock on Buster/Murphy so if you see that, that's all it is. Those ran out (minus the stock set aside in a box specifically for this project). 
 
I would also like to note the corgi samples were also started last year and they do a great job with the corgis because the base is set for them. Originally that did not go well either with at least 3 different manus, two of which I just dropped. Never forget.. lol..

Either way I apologize if it is looking like I am not working on this. I am. Slowly and with frustration. I have been struggling a lot with communication and I did try to ask some other artists for help/advice but they are busy with their own projects so I can't even be upset that they do not have time or ability to help me at all.

Alright well they never did anything despite my revisions in January, so I revised it more and sent this in again (the sheet is larger but I'm not screenshotting the whole thing). I have no idea why nothing got fixed when I resent it last time. All they did was re-send me the last version again which looks worse than even the last two versions.

So I sent this.. two days ago? I forget. I've had a migraine the last 3 days and technically today but I am so drugged up I don't feel anything for the moment. The beak being huge is really just annoying me the most. It doesn't have to be tiny but please I beg.. it feels massive.

All photos I have been sent of these. They all basically look the same to me?? Either way nothing has really changed which is nonsense.

I feel like this one is forever a mess. I cleaned up the design more since the head shape seems to be like 90% of the issue and since most people are okay with the corgi version, we're just gonna go back to that. I don't think they wanted to adjust it (the face) to begin with so idk I am pretty over fighting with them and the other designer one looked worse. After a lot of back and forth + enough feedback at events, the corgi face can probably be worked with better at least.

Going to discuss reducing number of tails so they are more round/fluffy and maybe have less of an issue with them falling over/looking flat. This is not a for sure thing yet, but I am asking questions. I don't hate the 5 tails either. I just want to discuss it for now.

For one, the chest fluff isn't great. I hate how it feels. I think it's different than the ones on the corgis which is softer, but I am weighing our options there. It's really rough!

They corrected the thread tail thing with the new designer which did work for me. I didn't have issue with the tails there, but I disliked the rest of the design. We're going back to the modifying the original version either way. I am waiting for an update on this still but I redrew it a bit more like the corgi style vs what I was hoping for originally since that is clearly not working for them. Oddly someone else who tried my manu for a fox also did not have the best luck. Maybe they just struggle with foxes.

Also the toe beans were supposed to be black not pink. I think my colors are more limited on the kitsune and fox since I believe the longer fabrics can't be dyed the same way the shorter ones can be. Yes, all of my corgis have been custom dyed. I guess most people are picking their fabrics from swatches. I did that for the panic puffs but not the corgis. Oops. I even had a custom fur color made for the frankencorgi because they didn't have a color that worked at all.

Either way. I am working on this and the colors will probably not be the exact matches I would like for this simply because of the fur choices I am limited to. I will admit this was not something I was aware of early on either since they never had issues before. So the colors are more likely to be what you saw on the sample over what colors are used on the image itself for that reason.

Photos of where this left off. I know many of you saw the more corgi sample at cons/events where I was just sort of getting a feel for how much people did or didn't like it. Anyways a reminder spam of all the stuff this plush has been through lol... They are out of order but I don't feel like correcting it. You get the idea. This plush is a mess.

I will be discussing the owlbear with them next week since I fell behind bc of my head.. and I will make an update again after that. 

Either way I owed you guys an update of some sort and hope to start having more frequent updates on this going forward. Hopefully this made sense. I started this in the morning and finished it in the evening so my thoughts may not be as organized as I think they are lol..

I asked to combine design elements from the old version + the more recent version so I am just waiting on that for now. 

They never got back to me about the gryphon but hopefully I will hear something soon about those corrections as well. 

Just wanted to post any update since all manufacturing/sampling has been so slow this year for me. Even my pins that usually have a faster turnaround are taking like 2-3 months.

Either way, if the sample for Kitsune is sufficient for everyone, I will plan for production of it. Gryphon I really don't get why they refuse to fix the wings. I don't think the whole thing overall looks bad but there are small changes they just aren't making in order for that design to conclude.

Factories have been closed at the start of April and again the start of May + their usual break at the start of the year. So I'm just trying to work around it and I am just assuming my samples are super low priority for them compared to everything else. I'll be pushing on it though because I was really hoping to have had more updates or something by now. I haven't been getting many updates about my Frankencorgis either so once their break is over I will go back to pestering them.

I'll do more chatting about this in my FB group or on discord probably (I have to get cookies made for my kid's robotics thing this afternoon so my morning is a bust).

I will spend sometime looking this over later though but here is a Gryphon update which without any reference looks the same to me so I will be sitting down to discuss how to get the corrections I need on this probably Sunday...

I have large Frankencorgi tags to get submitted either way so that can just exist in production while I get these designs worked on.

I will be at AMKE this weekend but now that my factories have returned, I will be pushing the updates on this much harder. I don't have any more out of state things til licensing expo in May and no other out of state cons until Tekko in July. 

Just wanted to give an update since it means hopefully some updates on these again. I need to ask about the Gryphon since I had submitted revisions before they went on break and they didn't start them because people needed orders before CNY.
