I know ya'll asked for a keychain (it's easier to make keychains once the large plush is finished each time in case you're wondering why I do this lol). So I use my "monthly pin release" sales to pay for this sample. Those sales are helping a lot get things paid for so fingers crossed they also do well at cons. I caved into making fanart just to sort of help with sales (they have!).
I will probably run a campaign for this to get them produced + the large gryphon can be an add-on for anyone who missed it as well or didn't preorder on my site.
I have cons this month and next month so I'll be doing my best to get sales and get things produced. I'll ask about the Kitsune again now that I am back from visiting my parents in Atlanta as well. I just asked like on my way to GA if I could pay for a keychain sample of the gryphon and it's a nice treat to have received images this morning.
I actually have pins that I had originally planned to do with Pin Quest so those and a hair claw and this could all be a decent project maybe? I could make a white/gray Gryphon as a stretch goal (now that I have a base, changing the color is the easy part lol). We'll see.
I'd rather work towards the $9k for the large plush and $7k for the keychains if I can (Frankencorgis were just under $10k and the keychains I think just under $8k for reference and they were complex).
I wish the government would answer me about the new plush regulations. Forever waiting on an email response for that but we now have to register our plushies with the US government. Which is fine but answer my questions! lol...
Anyways, feel free to leave thoughts. I am gonna try and push my pin sales and work on advertising my next event (Andover Fun Fest in Andover, MN July 11th!) for the locals to try and see how much I can make. Even if I add the large plush to the upcoming project, I'd like to at least pay half to get them started.
Note: this gryphon keychain thing has no current launch planned so don't ask me about when. = X It's just in an "I should do this" kinda stage.
Gotta get the frankencorgis out this week so feel free to chat in discord or on FB if you want to talk with me directly about anything! It's a much faster way to reach me. <3
Think just making the embroidery thinner on the face would be fine. I'm very happy with this overall! Ahhh!!! It's cute. I do think I will keep the toe beans pink instead of making them black.
Feel free to argue with me over it though lol. I can be swayed.
Anyways, I will be saving for this and getting them started! ^_^
Address Updates If you think you will be moving over the summer/early fall (depending when these get started), please let me know so I can make a note on your backerkit or on your shopify order if I already made one for you. It will make it so I know to reach out.
Gryphon SWAPS I'm waiting for the sample to ship but I do have my cost estimates - ranging from $3,000-$9,000 depending on how many I order.
So that being said, like with the Frankencorgis, if you would like to swap from what you currently have to a Gryphon since that sample is done and ready for production - please let me know. This applies to people with foxes, kitsunes and owlbears since I am still going to be working on those samples. Kitsune should be the next update but we shall see. = p At this rate it's just gonna be a Corgsune and not a Kitsune. Why are fox faces so hard for my manu??
Gryphon Preorders If you wanted a Gryphon and did not get one, I plan to put Gryphon preorders up on my website this week. I will let them run for awhile. I have a very busy summer, but I would like to start production on these in July if possible. August at latest since it takes about 2 months + 1 month shipping time.
I will estimate December 2026 for now but I would absolutely like these to be in hand sooner. I know people want keychains still but I need to get a sample made + make a whole separate project for that.
Attaching the photos again so people remember what it looks like.
