I am still working on getting money for the large Frankencorgi plush. I feel like every time I get somewhere a bill pops up (for my business, personal and business stuff is separate). So we'll see! I think I'm still about $200-$300 off. Gonna try selling on whatnot and see if I can drum up any business that way.
Pins were sent after the post I made and people were okay with the pins how they are, but I am waiting for tracking to update. Maybe they are slower because of customs? I know I delayed it over the eye thing initially, but I was expecting they'd be here by now. Usually tracking updates then they are here in a few days. So far it seems to be in limbo but I asked about it this morning either way.
Still working on paying off the large Frankencorgis, but going to look at my options for maybe a small loan sometime tomorrow after I have had some proper sleep. I did get some sales but not quite enough. I believe they were already sent though (at least that's how it sounded before I left). I'll verify all that and get it paid either way.
I think this project deadline to close was like December or something crazy but it.. hopefully will be ready to be done by July/August depending when the large plush arrive.
I just got back from Licensing Expo this morning at like 5am or something and man it is just not as straightforward as I thought it would be. Definitely worth going but it was a long 2 days since flew there and back in that time lol.
I made a little story on Friday and drafted this little thing up Monday to bring to licensing expo and have some plans for that. It works okay for something thrown together last minute. I do want to make a children's book around this though because I think the concept is pretty fun.

My amazing friend from the Navy is going to try and design a little crochet pattern of it for people to sort of make their own. I doodled this before I left. Either way, it should be a fun little collaboration if we can make it work! I don't crochet or sew, so should be interesting either way to see what sort of things we can do that are interactive and fun for everyone.
I will say this makes me want to revisit the original Buster & Murphy storylines from 2018 & 2019. The plan for this Frankencorgi is for it to be more of a "story within a story" like the story is something the people in the world Buster & Murphy live in would have read/watched or something and thus Buster would have taken his name from this story.
People name their animals after their favorite characters all the time, so that felt like it would have been a much easier way for Buster to have received his specific name. Hopefully that makes sense. :D

First I had them not send the pins out in the end - they were going to when I made the first post and I was trying to come up with a solution for this since I have no idea how bad I missed this.
I have no idea why I paid for samples and didn't even pay attention to this one completely?? I have no idea how I missed this. Maybe I'm just rushing too much lately but at the time I approved a proof that was incorrect.
I have no idea why I noticed NOW after things have finished production but I have. Either way I mentioned it and they can remake them but obviously it's my mistake and I approved it so I do have to pay for it again.
It won't affect freebie pins really. I do plan to send these out but there are people who paid for pins and I don't find this version okay to send you.

These are the options I think we have available for this atm (there was another involving epoxy and I don't like that idea, so it won't be included). IF YOU PURCHASED THIS PIN SPECIFICALLY (NOT A COLLAB FREEBIE) PLEASE MAKE IT CLEAR WHEN YOU COMMENT.
Option One: Do nothing. I just accept I messed up and you guys get some janky looking pins. I think if you weren't aware of the design flaw it's probably not a big deal but I'm the artist, so I am going to be overdramatic and act like the world is ending. Personally I would be pissed if I preordered one (not everyone got this as a collab freebie mind you) to receive this as it doesn't match the other Frankencorgi designs.
Option Two: For the existing pins, I can have them fill in the color just in the recessed area that you can see here. The main issue here is that it is liquid and can run. I think this looks okay? This solves the problem immediately without remaking the pins and just delays them a little while they fix them.

Option Three: I completely remake this design and extend the time at which people will receive product an extra 30-60 days depending how long these take. I can request the other pins to be sent now in that case, just scrap these entirely and start them over since it needs a new mold.

I received safety test info this morning, so they are pretty close to production being completed. Obviously this is great but also not great lol. I obviously spent more than I made on this so I am going to be scrambling to try and get that last grand in sales since these are just so much money.
I am still like.. $1,031.74 away from paying off the large plush so like 17-18 large plush preorders worth. I don't have anymore events this month so we'll see what I can manage.
What I raised for anyone who is like how can you not afford this? :D I'm trying, I really am lol.
Bonus Stuff I sketched out some more frankencorgi puppies that still need to be cleaned up. Thinking of making a pattern or something for it for other merch (real dog bandanas maybe?)
