I Screwed Up
I wholeheartedly apologize, but I screwed up. There's no other way to put it.

I was notified at the end of December that there were two repeat pages in the print and PDF versions of R.U.R. I'm not sure how this escaped my attention in the edited process or even after the fact. The files passed several eyes, but the ultimate responsibility is mine.

So, I corrected the files and submitted them to the printer. We are currently reprinting the project, and the books will be shipped to my home on Valentine's Day. I will then be shipping the books out to you, so you should have the corrected book by the end of February. I will be sending out the corrected PDFs in a few days.

FOR CANADA:

The postal strike caught me unawares. Even when it was over, the US Postal Service still wasn't allowing us to mail stuff to Canada. Then I learned of the error and am now having the books printed, as stated above. You, too, will be receiving your perks by the end of February. I wish it could be sooner.

EVERYBODY:

Again, I sincerely do apologize. In all my years of printing/publishing, I've never made such a colossal error. I pray that I never do it again. I will let you know as soon as I start shipping the corrected copies.

All the best,
Bill

Long-Awaited Updated
Greetings, Party People--

I wholeheartedly apologize for being incommunicado for these past couple of months. There was a lot of business travel (cons and such), personal illness, and family illness. While there are still some survey stragglers (PLEASE FILL OUT YOUR SURVEYS), most of you have already received your books.

Unfortunately, my aunt Elaine passed away last week. So, I have been traveling back and forth from DC to Pittsburgh last week and will be heading back up to Pittsburgh this week for the funeral and to help my mother sort out a few things. I am hoping to get to the post office tomorrow to ship books to you lovely Canadian supporters and a few late responders. I will try to fulfill the remaining digital supporters this upcoming weekend.

Thank you as always for your support. It means the world to us. I do hope you enjoy R.U.R. and the other books you may have received. This all means the world to us. Obviously, you are the reason we do what we do and we could not do it without you.

All the best,
Bill

R.U.R. Surveys Coming
Greetings, Party People.

Thank you so much for supporting our first BackerKit campaign. I apologize that it's taken me so long to get back to you. I immediately went to trying to wrap my head around Pledge Manager, tabling events, getting the book to the printer, and, of course, the kiddos.

I just wanted to tell you that the surveys will be coming your way on the 19th. I still have to do a few things. I appreciate your patience.

Talk to you soon,
Bill

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You! But It Ain't Over
 Good day, comrades!

Thanks to you we reached our funding goal. However, as you can imagine, having a 260-page hardcover, full-color graphic novel costs a weeeeee bit more than $5K. So, please, don't let the fact that we hit our goal stop you from backing R.U.R.

Less Than 3 Days Left: The Robot Revoution Is Yours
Greetings, Party People.

Thank you for your support.

There are less than three days to go. We are $555 short of our goal. If you haven't backed the campaign yet, what better time to support the Robot Revolution than on Labor Day?

Starred Review for MARDOU FOX!!!

Congratulations to Nisi Shawl for their starred review for THE DAY AND NIGHT BOOKS OF MARDOU FOX in Publishers Weekly!!!

Shawl (Everfair) wows in this alternate history of the Beat generation told through the diaries of an overlooked Black poet. As a child in the 1940s, Mardou Fox learns she can go “outside”—a dreamlike place beyond reality, ungoverned by space and time—but stifles her ability for fear of making trouble for her family. Still, as Mardou gets older, growing into herself as a Black woman and a poet, the ability follows her and her control of it gradually grows. The narrative spans years, chronicling Mardou’s struggles to be recognized as an author among her white peers, her romances with various other Beat artists, and her relationships with her sisters, one an activist lesbian and the other incarcerated in a psychiatric facility for the same powers that Mardou hides. It’s all delivered through simple yet evocative diary entries that showcase the author’s wit. Mardou’s mysterious abilities almost come second to the fascinating evolution of her personal life, which is loosely based on Alene Lee, a lesser-known Beat figure. This concise novel packs a powerful punch. Agent: DongWon Song, Howard Morhaim Literary. (Sept.)
