Project Update: Shipping is nearly complete and PDFs are being sent out!

The Night Clerk is now on DTRPG. I've sent out links to backers. I've mailed out all but 2 zines from late backers. I'll add it to Itch.io soon and send out links.

Once the Itch.io version is uploaded, I'll be able to focus on finishing the digital extras for the project. When I get a timeline for that, I'll update here.

I got the zines! I'll start stuffing envelopes this week and mailing them out as soon as I can. Once I get them mailed out, I'll get The Night Clerk uploaded on DrivethruRPG and Itch.io and send out electronic copies.

Once all that is done, I'll finish my work on the digital extra bundle.

Project Update: Updated PDF of the Zine

I've added the final images, made some changes to the layout and corrected some mistakes. The zine is now complete. I've ordered a final test print for the zine from Mixam. That should be here on February 23. Once I get it, I can make sure there are no other mistakes, then I can begin mailing copies to backers. I'll lock addresses on Feb 23. Backers can download the PDF below.

Once I get copies mailed, I'll add the zine to DTRPG, and Itch.io and send out links to add it to your account. After that, I'll start work on the digital rewards and backer games.

Project Update: Test Print looks good! Please send in any typos you find in the preview PDF

I had a test print made of The Night Clerk zine and it looks good. Check it out:
If you have any typos - please email them to [email protected] OR post a comment here.

I have to polish up the design a bit and insert the photos of the key card and hand mirror. Then I can print a final test print and then place the main order. That should happen before the end of this month. Once I do that, I'll focus on the digital rewards while I mail out copies to backers.

Project Update: Backer Draft of The Night Clerk now available!

I've finished incorporating the edits to the text of the zine. Backers can now download the draft and review it below. Please email [email protected] or comment here with any typos you notice in the draft.

Still To Do before sending zine to the printer:

  • Get photos of the key card and shattered hand mirror to place in the zine.
  • Find/replace all p. XXX and get Table of Contents locked in.
  • Add copyright/art credits on the copyright page.
  • Add page on Role Playing Public Radio at the end.

Once the zine has been sent to the printer, I'll focus on the digital rewards - I've already recorded 2 of the APs and I have some work done on the ambient recording.

Project Update: Meet the editor: Jacqueline Bryk

I have sent the complete text of the zine to the editor, Jacqueline Bryk. She's an award winning game designer and an experienced game editor. The current plan is to finalize the text this month. I also need to get 2 more images placed - a photo of a keycard and a shattered hand mirror. I'll take the photos myself. All of this should be done this month.

Backers should get a preview PDF in December. Look it over for any typos or other problems we may have missed. I'll give everyone a month to look it over. Once that's done, the next step is printing a test copy!

Next update should be the preview PDF going out. Look for that in early to mid December. See you then!

Project Update: Actual Play of the Night Clerk on Youtube!

I ran a game of Delta Green using The Night Clerk as the scenario for two of my patrons on Youtube. You can check it out here! Find out what happens when two agents are sent to investigate a missing woman who searched for flagged occult terms before brandishing a gun in public.

We still have stretch goals to reach. Please spread the word about The Night Clerk! We have a little under 3 weeks left.
