TL:DR - Australia done; USA addresses locking today; UK & EU addresses with fulfilment partners, awaiting pick and pack starting; many other things happening
Overview
An exceedingly busy week for all things Hollows.
Goods are now in all warehouses, and all partners are working towards fulfilment.
USA
Boats docked, paperwork filed, trucks trucked, warehouses filled. It’s been a hugely busy couple of weeks for all things USA. Very minor issue with one pallet in our order, but very minor damages mean that no delays or issues will occur. It looked more dramatic than it turned out to be. Personally, if i'd been stuck in a container from China to the USA for a month i think i'd arrive looking like this too:
Same babe. Same.
The team at S2P now have all the goods ready to go, and have already done some packaging tests for us so we can see exactly how carefully protected it should all be.
perfect fit
We’re happy and ready to go. Which means that the final task starts now!
We’ll be starting the process of locking addresses for Americas Backers (including Canada, USA, and Central and South America) later today. You’ll have the weekend to make any last changes to addresses. After that you will need to get in contact with us, and we may not be able to change the addresses for goods in flight.
A reminder for all backers in the USA: you might receive an email from the courier which shows the tracking is stalled. S2P loads all of the orders into the courier system at the start of the fulfillment process - this can sometimes happen before any orders have even been picked and packed. They normally manage to work through large numbers of orders every day. But If you get a tracking link email from FedEx or UPS and it looks like it’s stuck, please give it a week to see if there’s any movement. After that please get in contact with us and we can explore further.
We anticipate that parcels will begin moving in the middle of next week, and expect all orders to go out within 3 weeks of that date.
Europe
All of the goods are with Meeples.
This week we worked with them on some packaging tests, using their usual paper voidfill and cardboard parcels. Sadly these tests did not adequately protect your treasures, and they had to go back to explore other options which has slowed things down. This delay increases the chances that your goods will arrive safely though, and is very much why we do these things.
New packaging plan for Hollows EU orders
We’ve sent them all of the Locked Addresses for Backers in the EU and EEA.
They confirmed the fulfilment timeline with us today, and whilst we have to wait slightly longer for it to start they have also confirmed that all orders will go out in a 7 day window.
Parcels will begin going out from next Friday (13th) and all parcels should be in the postal service by Friday 20th November.
UK
Hollows pallet looking like a Dark Souls level
Goods arrived at the PCP warehouse on Wednesday and have already been unloaded. PCP are waiting on some packaging to arrive with them so they can run tests. This should arrive early next week, and tests will happen quickly from there.
Locked Addresses are already with them, and they are working on their Pick and Pack plan for the project. Current expectation communicated by the team is that the first parcels will go out before the end of next week. Once packaging is with them this will shift into high gear.
A reminder that PCP will handle all of the books and boxes, but if you have ordered pins or the coin these will be shipped separately from our usual UK warehouse. We will start sending those items out next week as well. Once we know books are on the way.
Australia/Asia/Pacific
All Australia, New Zealand and Pacific Ocean country orders have now shipped out. We have been seeing your pictures and messages showing them on your tables and shelves.
It’s been very satisfying to see how well they’ve been shipped too.
We have 5 Australia orders with the Tactical Grid. These items are still delayed arriving at the Australia warehouse. The rest of your shipment should have been sent to you already. We expect these items to land in the next few weeks so we can send those over to you.
If you think you should have received your order, but you haven't heard from us or Aeetherworks, please email us: [email protected]
Podcasts and Game Jams and VTTs, Oh My!
Hollows podcast episodes continue to drop weekly. Grant, Chris, and Maz have already covered a bunch of things they couldn’t fit in the book around combat, factions and how it all came into being. You can catch previous episodes ONLINE HERE.
There’ll be another one every Thursday until we run out of things to say. If you see Grant, Maz, and Chris online anywhere, be sure to pepper them with thousands of questions about Hollows for a later episode. They love when you do that.
Hollows game jam is ongoing and heading into the exciting closing stages! Come and make us a monster! Or just drop by to see what weird fever dreams have emerged from the minds of fellow Hollows fans. The ever-brilliant Jamie Bernstein has made Rowan, Rook and Decard as an Entity, and that’s got to be worth a read.
Internal testing on the VTT has seen Jinn, Maz, Chris and Chant poking deeply into the options and the dev team ran a demo. It looks beautiful; everything appears to be there; we need time to sit and properly play some Hollows in it, unsupervised, as the ultimate test. Meaningful and exciting steps forwards, all of which point to getting it out to you for testing.
Oh, and we released another Hollow. You can grab Hell and High Water, our official crossover with Trench Crusade, on our website.
Generally
Thank you for supporting this project, folks - it’s been a fantastically huge creative endeavour and we couldn’t do this without you. We’d love to see pictures of your parcels as they start to arrive - you can tag us on Instagram, Bluesky or Facebook, or pop links in the comments here.
As always, there’s a risk things will get dinged, damaged or lost in transit.
If that happens to you, we want to put it right. If anything goes wrong with your parcel, get in touch with Jim or myself in the Customer Service mines by emailing [email protected].
Expect more communication in the next week or two,
