Shapeshifters, fae and mermaids, oh, my!

Following a brutal war that threatened to decimate life on early, a new day dawned. The war, known by many as The Slaughters, killed millions, child, adult and old alike. The first volley in the war happened in the late 1900s when a homegrown militia launched an attack against a non-predatory group of Therian group of shapeshifting ponies, killing everybody from the youngest child, a toddler of two, up to the elderly.
A local Alpha, Danique Miller, went hunting and killed every member of the militia, exacting the justice human authorities denied the murdured Preternaturals.
She was executed by the military in under a year and Preterns, the moniker given to the races who weren't purely human, were relegated to second-class citizens.
That was a mistake. The next attack against a Pretern group was met with lethal force. So began the Pretern Wars.
This omnibus will feature two previously published, A Prime's Passion and A Dragon's Desire and a third, unpublished story, A Killer's Claiming.
The anticipated book length will be a minimum of 600 pages with six color illustrations. More illustrations will be added as stretch goals!
The book will be available in ebook, trade, case hardback and a deluxe edition with sprayed edges, a case hardback with an under-jacket design and a foiled dustjacket. The trade paperback and both hardback versions will come with a free copy of the ebook.
All books, regardless of format, will include color illustrations and custom headers.
The print books will allow access to all physical stretch goals and add-ons.
This 3-in-1 omnibus will feature custom art by human artists. The art on the image below is by Milllokidea. The cover layout and design is by yours truly.
The deluxe print omnibus will feature color illustrations, custom headers, custom painted edges, an underjacket design and a foiled dustjacket.

I've been writing professionally since 2004 and I plan on doing it at least until 2054.
I'm married to my high school sweetheart and we have three children. Two of them are grown and out of the house. We have a plethora of animals and I had to declare a moratorium on getting any more.
I'm neurodivergent and disability struggles with me.
Illustrations will be done by human artists who don't rely on generative AI.
The Graphics The story banner and headers were designed by Blue Raven Book Covers.
I've designed the graphics for the campaign using Canva and have taken steps to ensure that the graphics I chose are human-created. I do use some editing tools, such as cropping out backgrounds, which sometimes triggers something in scanners that look for AI content.
Most of the project is done. I anticipate finishing the rest of book 3 by March 2026, if not sooner.
The tentative timeline after that: May 2026: Edits done June 2026: Formatting finished, ebooks delivered and proof ordered August 2026: If proof is accepted, shipping starts

Claiming Rewards
Rewards must be claimed within six months of campaign's end. Creator must be notified within six months of notifying backers (via updates) that all rewards have been mailed. After that, all rewards and associated funds are forfeited to creator.
Refunds and Replacements
Refunds: Refunds are not available for Payment Plans or Pledge Over Time. Once orders for physical goods are placed, refunds will not be available. No refunds will be provided for digital goods after they have been delivered.
Replacements: If items are damaged in such a way that readability is affected, a replacement will be offered upon the return of the original item. Replacements will be provided for lost goods that have not been confirmed delivered through tracking numbers. All items are shipped with tracking and no items will be replaced if confirmed delivered without proof of damage and the return of the original item.
Proof of damagemust be provided before the box is opened and within three days of delivery.
Creator is not responsible if backer enters the wrong address info. Replacements are not available for nicks to the cover, bent pages, or other slight damage that do not effect readability of the book. Other damaged goods must be documented and sent to the creator for review.
All refunds or replacements are up to the creator's discretion.
Two of three stories are already written and the third is halfway done. This project will be finished.
I've already lined up most of the art, so the primary challenges lie with getting the art finished, the project edited and formatted and everything rolling with the printer.
Once formatting is done, I'll get the ebooks sent out and the print books will be mailed once I'm satisfied with how the final versions look. The trade and case hardback will be printed in the US to minimize the effects of tariffs and if possible, so will the deluxe edition.
A note about tariffs: hopefully things will have settled down by the time the book is ready to be mailed, but the buyer will responsible for any additional costs incurred upon receipt into your country of residence.
