As you well know... WE HAVE REACHED THE MINIMUM GOAL TO MAKE THE ANIMATED PILOT FOR "THE LITTLE TRASHMAID"!
Thank you for your patience during our brief absence. Now that the BackerKit campaign has ended, the real work begins!
Creating an animated pilot takes many months (even up to a year), and starting today, we'll send monthly updates to keep you in the loop on the creation of the first episode of "The Little Trashmaid". In the meantime, we are also waiting for BackerKit to transfer all the funds collected during the crowdfunding, since we have only received a portion of the budget so far (all those who selected installment payments are still missing, and unfortunately, a few payments failed). That being said, we are currently preparing a few new animated videos to share on YouTube (leaving a WIP preview below) so you are never left without fresh content.
So... What will we be doing between September and October?
1. Preparing the animated episode outline and, subsequently, the script. Before doing anything else, we need to thoroughly map out the key story beats of the episode and lay them out to make the most of every single second. Once the outline is finalized, we can start working on the script.
2. Writing the scripts for "The Little Trashmaid - Diving Deeper 2 & 3". This spin-off series kicks off this month, starting with the screenwriters receiving the loglines and finishing the scripts (by mid-October). From that point on, we will begin drawing all the chapters needed to complete the volumes and translate them into various languages. We hope to have all files ready by early December so we can send the projects to print and ship the volumes to you in January/February.
3. Completing "The Little Trashmaid - Volume 3". This will probably be the easiest part since 2/3 of the volume is already done. We just need to finalize the last 50 pages, and then the file will be print-ready. For this as well, we will try to have the volumes printed and ready by January/February (so we can ship all your rewards together).
4. Getting ready for October comic conventions. We have some major cons to attend during this period (Romics, Como Fun, Vicenza Comics & Games, Milano Games Week, etc.). From October 28th to November 1st, we will be at Lucca Comics and Games in Italy (Napoleone Pavilion, Stand 101). Feel free to drop by, visit us, and maybe meet your favorite authors from our studio (s0s2, Angelo's World, Jenny Jinya, Alice Rovai, Telespalla Wolf).
5. Setting up the Pledge Manager. We are currently finalizing the Pledge Manager page to send out the surveys and collect shipping fees. Some of you have already received it because we ran a small test to make sure everything was working smoothly. We will start sending them out to all backers shortly, but we want to hold off for a moment regarding shipping confirmations for the USA (if we manage to partner with a fulfillment center directly in America for our US backers, we could save you a lot on shipping costs).

While we await the conclusion of the crowdfunding campaign for "The Little Trashmaid" and prepare shipments for "Hetzer & Friends - Volume 2" campaign, we're going set the launch of our next project: Gold Thread.
"Gold Thread" is an epic comic book featuring a half-orc, a halfling, and the golden thread weaving their destinies together. A must-read for D&D fans and adventure seekers.
A foolish halfling bard and a rugged half-orc barbarian find themselves forced to team up after a fortune teller's request for help. However, neither knows that their goal will be a shared element from their pasts. Will this odd pair succeed in completing their task?
For now, we've added the first 10 pages as a preview on the pre-launch page. But those who follow the project will be able to get the PDF with the first 25 complete pages of the volume (i.e., the entire first chapter)!

We're entering the final stage of the "The Little Trashmaid – Animated Pilot" crowdfunding campaign!
It's been an incredible journey so far. We are VERY close to our goal and with just a little more support, we can make it across the finish line together! Huge thanks to everyone who already supported us this far!
Over the next few days, we'll be releasing a second animated short and then eagerly watching the campaign's final days.
For more than a month now, we've been working hard to raise the budget needed to bring this animated pilot to life.
Once the campaign ends, we'll take a short break before production begins. "Break" might be a strong word, though... September also marks the beginning of convention season and preparations for upcoming projects, while we wait for the Backerkit funding to arrive!
In October, Stephanie Hermes (s0s2) and Davide Valente will begin work on the final version of the script for the pilot episode. At the same time, we'll continue producing Volumes 2 and 3 of Diving Deeper, along with their translations.
November and December will be dedicated to storyboarding the episode and we'll be sharing updates as the project progresses. Our goal is also to have all physical rewards printed in December so that backers can start receiving their books and rewards in early January.
The months ahead will be busy, exciting, and full of new challenges... but we're ready for them!
First, though, let's finish this campaign strong and reach our goal!
