Build-A-Burial is a lyric game about crafting a coffin I made several years ago and made available on my ko-fi. It's one of those games I've always wanted to do a print run for, as it's one of my favourite micro-games .

So this year for Pocketopia, as I'm still going to be busy with Pilot Episode, I decided to take the opportunity to offer people the chance to try Build-A-Burial with a fresh coat of paint. I've slightly rewritten the rules and gotten Joie Yong involved in order to redo the layout into something brighter and better!

This is the only print run of Build-A-Burial I plan to do. By backing this, you'll get the opportunity to own a unique and experimental lyric craft game where you are given the opportunity to reflect on your character's death and their funerary customs.

The gameplay itself is relatively simple. Build-A-Burial's central mechanic is cutting out, assembling and decorating a papercraft coffin. As you build this coffin, you reflect on your character's death and funerary practices, specifically in relationship to the coffin.

This gets you a digital copy of the game. This includes a digital print-and-play version as well as a standard pdf. 

This gets you a physical copy of the game on top of the digital versions! This physical copy shall be printed via Mixam. 

This gets you both physical and digital copies of both Build-A-Burial and Looking Presentable. Both of these games are craft games, meaning that both involve arts and crafts.

Looking Presentable is a critique of beauty standards placed upon women using crafts and paper dolls. It visually draws from the Riot Grrl movement and is printed with white and pink paper. 

The campaign itself. The book is mostly finalized so I'll be putting together the finishing touches as well as working on the additional backer rewards. This includes the pre-launch follower incentive and the cross-collab incentive with I'm a Trans Man and I'm Here To Fuck. 

Important to note: Due to fluctuating prices and general chaos, shipping will be charged at a later date to ensure price accuracy. 

The campaign will have finished. Physical books will be sent to printers and digital copies will hopefully be sent out to y'all. 

The books will be shipped out in waves, beginning with Australian backers. This is due to the fact that Auspost offers reduced rates for the more books sent so this way international backers will pay less. 

The campaign should hopefully be finished by August. Any remaining rewards will be sent out by this point.
