In 2024, we ran Lesbians in Space: Where No Man Has Gone Before in Booktopia 2024, raising almost $11,000 for an anthology of 21 stories, including 4 by Hugo award nominated and winning authors. Then we did it again in 2025 with Lesbians in Space: The Sapphics Strike Back in Printopia 2025, bringing in almost $12,000 for a second anthology with another of 20 stories!
We then raised over $6000 so the multiple Hugo award-winning, and incredibly talented narrator, Mary Robinette Kowal recorded Lesbians in Space: Where No Man Has Gone Before, which is available for sale June/July 2026!
Now we're finishing the job, asking Mary Robinette once again to lend her amazing voice to Lesbians in Space: The Sapphics Strike Back! That's 20 more sapphic stories for you!
We are less than two weeks out for the start of our campaign for Lesbians in Space Comes to Audiobook, in which Mary Robinette Kowal will be narrating Lesbians in Space: The Sapphics Strike Back!
We're attending WorldCon (The World Science Fiction and Fantasy convention) this week in Anaheim LA, and I was able to get a few minutes to speak with Mary Robinette about how she approaches audiobooks, when she first started, and what she does for character voices! (She might have also made Heather, behind the camera, tear up a little...)
