One last title to ship, and our new campaign is almost funded!
Hi Folks,
I've got the very last reward for this campaign ready to go. Spoon has finished the new Dissolution Cycle omnibus cover, taking elements from the rest of the trilogy covers. The inside is updated with the new covers, in color, as well! This is a chonker, coming in at 1100 pages and makes a great collector's edition!
Isn't it pretty!
Didn't get yours in the November 2025 campaign? Well you're in luck! We have the Space Wizard Year 5 campaign going on right now, where you can pick up a copy, and we're only about $160 from funding! Plus, look at the amazing covers of the next 8 books coming from Space Wizard!
We've also got a couple other special omnibuses in the new campaign. Paying for the covers for these two are our first two stretch goals!
The Quirk & Moth omnibus combines all three current books in the series (The Mandroid Murders, The Carborundum Conundrum, and The Rigel Redemption), as well as the short stories The Bibliothek Betrayal and never-before-published The Hygeia Hijack!
Our new Space Wizard Novellas Volume 1 collects all the novellas published by Space Wizard from 2022 to 2025. Explore a wide range of queer science fiction and fantasy stories, in shorter format! Includes Awry With Dandelions by J.S. Fields, Peace In The Sky by Caye Marsh, Ajakava by Chaitanya Murali, The Witch and the Ostrich by Jordan A. Werner, Isaac by Allee Mead, It's You, Isn't it? by Antony Paschos, and Junk Junction by Sara Codair.
As one year of Space Wizard rolls by, another starts! Go check out the great books we have in store for you this time!
Fall of the Imperium, Elixir of Life, and the end of this campaign!
Hi Folks,
We're getting very near to the end of shipping for this campaign (and remember to sign up for Year 5 if you haven't yet!), so I have a last few updates for you!
The first is, I just received the final cover for The Dissolution Cycle, Fall of the Imperium, from Spoonwood studios, and I couldn't be happier! Look at this:
I'm getting it uploaded everywhere, which means I'll be able to order some paperbacks soon as well as send out the eBooks to everyone with the new covers!
Plus, I can show you the special easter egg we've been putting together with all three covers. They make a triptych!
Now, would any of you be interested in having this available as a print in the next campaign? Let me know in the poll!
Second, I've also just received the paperback copies of Talio Rossa and the Elixir of Life, which means I'll be shipping the last shipments from the campaign out, including all the full subscriptions.
Once that's done, this campaign will be complete, just in time for the next one to start!
Fractal Terminus, Mothball Magic, and Facets of the Nether!
Hi Folks,
I've got several updates for you today. First, I've got the full cover for Facets of the Nether! This is the second book in The Dissolution Trilogy, and once again, Spoon has done amazing work on it. There's one final small change to the cover, and then I'll be uploading them to all the sites, as well as sending out your free eBooks. We've got one more to go and the trilogy will be complete! Let me know what you think of it!
Second, I've sent out paperback copies of Fractal Terminus last week, so those backers hopefully have gotten them by now. I'll be sending out paperback copies of Mothball Magic very soon, as I've already got the books. Hopefully this week or maybe early next week. I'll also be sending out the eBooks most likely tomorrow, so keep an eye on your email!
Third, we've only got one book left to ship out: Talio Rossa and the Elixir of Life. This one will be coming to you hopefully in late May, and will finish off the Year 4 part 2 campaign!
In the meantime, we have eight more incredible queer books ready for you in the Space Wizard Year 5 campaign! Here's the quick summaries to whet your appetite. If you're interested, make sure to sign up! I'm still waiting on most of the covers, but they'll start showing up very soon, and we'll have author interviews posted to the launch party starting next week!

It begins with Queen, where an intersex woman is trapped on a barely hospitable planet of women, only to learn their meager living area is further threatened. The Seeds of Dissolution eBooks have been sent, and check out our first audiobook campaign!

I hope to have a preview of the new cover for Facets of the Nether very soon!

And if you haven't yet, make sure to check out our new campaign to bringLesbians in Space: Where No Man Has Gone Before to audiobook! Mary Robinette Kowal is narrating, so this is bound to be a stupendous recording. This is also a kind of test-run for Space Wizard to see if it's viable to fund our own audio recordings. We're closing on halfway funded already, so if that's something you think is worthwhile, please take a look at the campaign!
I'll be back next with another book cover or book release!
The Healer's Magic copies are in, and The Seeds of Dissolution has a new cover!
Hi Folks!
I've got copies of The Healer's Magic in, just in time for the release on March 10th. I'll be sending those out to backers soon. Meanwhile, here's all three lovely covers together for your enjoyment!
Speaking of covers, I wanted to share the new, finalized cover for The Seeds of Dissolution I just got today from Spoon of Spoonwood Visuals. Isn't it amazing!
I'll be putting the new cover online and switching out the print and eBook covers in the next couple days. Meanwhile, Spoon is already starting on book 2, Facets of the Nether. Remember, everyone who backed will get a free eBook copy of the whole trilogy! I'll be sending out the copies of The Seeds of Dissolution to all backers very soon, and thanks again for getting us to that stretch goal!
I'll be at Ret-Con this weekend, so come say hi if you're there. I'll have a prop cover of The Seeds of Dissolution out for you to enjoy!
I hope to have some news on the second book in my next update!
Tea Tale is in, and progress on the new Dissolution Cycle covers!
Hi Folks!
I've got some exciting news! I've just received copies of our third book, Tea Tale, so I'll be sending out backer rewards soon! Isn't it pretty?
Secondly, I got the preliminary sketches for the new Dissolution Cycle covers, funded by our second stretch goal, and I have to say, they look amazing! There's two options, though and I need your help!
First, here are both concepts for the trilogy, with notes from Spoon on composition. I thought it would be fun to share, and shows the development process. The top covers are leaning more to the fantasy side, with more dramatic lighting and character focus. The bottom set leans more to the science fiction side, showing off the architecture of the main city in the book, as well as some of the plot events, but with less emphasis on the characters.
I really love both of these, and I'm having trouble figuring out what would be the best fit for the book. That's where you come in! Hurry to the poll below and let me know what you think! Which set of covers would you make grabby hands for? What really sparks your interest to know more about the story?
Remember, you all get eBook copies of the full trilogy with the new covers for passing our second stretch goal, so pick the ones you want in your library!
Let me know what you think, comment with any additional thoughts, and I'll see you soon with another update on the progress!
Here they are, without notes, so you can see better:
Fantasy, character focus
