Replies to Trevin Hickmon: Physical or Digital

This is a great question! It's often a topic of debate in bookish spaces, a really popular one at that.

I love both physical and digital for different reasons. Digital is great when I can't decide on what I want to read, and can access my books on my phone, Kindle, etc. (though I'm moving further and further away from the zon). Digital is also great for audiobooks, which I absolutely adore for hands free activity.

That said, my preference is for physical copies. I would like to have a *true* library of 1000 books one day—a collection spanning from childhood trig adulthood that creators diverse books from diverse genres. Plus, I like how physical books feel and smell. There's something about the tactile nature of it.

Oh, but, there is the issue that physical copies aren't environmentally friendly. I hope one day we can have books made from recyclable materials. I love my physical copies, but we kind of need trees to breathe...
