Project Update: SHIPPING: it's happening!
Hi all, thank you very much for your patience. After some delays, we are finally ready to ship everything for this campaign.
- Our distributor, Studio 2, has provided estimates for all-inclusive shipping costs, including packaging for all backers as well as value-added tax (VAT) and other import fees for international backers.
- BackerKit is currently reviewing these shipping fees. When BackerKit approves them, we'll retry uncharged cards and lock addresses with notice. You should get an email reminding you to check your address.
- Takeaway: we're retrying uncharged cards, locking addresses, and charging shipping fees this week.

Note for EU backers: shipping costs have increased this year
In general, shipping rates to the EU have been skyrocketing due to new rules and laws on importing. I asked Studio 2 about a way of getting books into the EU in bulk, but they don’t have any bulk shipments.
The good news is, Studio 2 compares commercial shipping rates across major companies. They can prepay VAT and duties, avoiding brokerage fees. According to the experts, prepaying VAT and duties is simply the cheapest way to ship international. We've tried our best to keep costs down.
