Project Update: Thank You for a Successful Fundraiser
Greetings, Backers!
Our fundraiser concluded yesterday and we raised $27,407, which is the second most that we've ever raised! Thank you all so much for your support. This fundraiser exceeded our expectations and we have all of you to thank for it.
For our Indian donors, we've been notified that a lot of your credit cards have been rejected. This is a known periodic glitch with Stripe, and we are working with BackerKit to get it fixed. If they can't resolve it, we'll reach out to you directly to find an alternate pathway. Our apologies for the complexity.
For the rest of our donors, you'll hear from us soon as well as we collect the information we need to send out your rewards! It usually takes us about two months to get everything sent (some sooner rather than later), but we should have surveys out to you this week. Shortly after that, we'll deliver the digital rewards that we already have available.
In the meantime, please continue to enjoy new issues of Strange Horizons every Monday!

Project Update: Final 24 Hours
Greetings, Backers and Friends of Strange Horizons!
We have just over 24 hours left in our fundraiser and yesterday we unlocked our first stretch goal which sets our pay rate for fiction to 9c/word. It's a long way to go to get to our second stretch goal in the last day, but we'd love to do it and set our pay rate at 10c/word.
If anyone is waiting to donate, now is the time! And again, any signal boost on social media with help us in our final hours.
Last but certainly not least, thank you all for your support in this fundraiser! It's already been a big success for us. In many ways bigger than we expected and we have all of you to thank for that. We're filled with gratitude as we enter our final day!

Project Update: In the Final Stretch
Greetings, Backers and Friends of Strange Horizons!
We have 4 days left in our annual fundraiser and, as of this writing, we are $1250 away from our first stretch goal that would allow us to pay 9c/word for stories. I think we can hit that goal, Maybe in the next 24 hours! We would also like to get to our $30,000 stretch goal that would set our rate at 10c/word. If anyone is waiting to donate, now is the time to do it!
Also, if you have already donated, or can't make a monetary donation, please spread the word about the fundraiser on social media or other platforms. Everything helps!

Project Update: The Project is Funded!
Greetings, Backers and Friends of Strange Horizons!
Earlier today, we passed our base goal of $22,000! Our project is funded and Strange Horizons will continue to be published through 2027! Thank you all for helping make this happen! We couldn't do this without our supporters.
Reaching our goal has unlocked a final story, "The Keyhole" by World Fantasy Award Winner Natalia Theodoridou. (Also check out our full Fund Drive Issue for any other pieces you may have missed.)
But our fundraiser is far from over. We have 10 days left and two stretch goals that we can hit. This year, our stretch goals are tied directly to the rates we pay for fiction. The more money that we raise, the more we can pay our contributors. At our current funding level, we can pay 8c/word for fiction. If we reach $25,000 raised, we'll be able to pay 9c/word. And if we reach $30,000, we'll be able to pay 10c/word. We'd love to reach both of these goals! Posting on social media or anything else that you can do to boost our signal will help get us there.
