Project FAQ
That’s not a question - but we get it. It’s hard to quantify but even if we produce 2000 of something, we’re paying a lot to get that sculpted, formed and assembled. A good 80% of product costs go straight into getting them made, any redesigns etc - and a good chunk of what’s left goes to shipping it out to you and paying people who help us. We can’t be likened to a company that’s mass-producing. We’re only a few little humans hard at work!
2025 has been chaos for lots of businesses like ours, and we're still working through the enormous queues now being experienced by our production partners. We regularly keep our backers informed every time there's an update, so please make sure you're following the respective campaigns! We've also got this handy page to get all of the info in a quick, easy to digest manner: https://studiobadegg.com/where-is-my-stuff We don't benefit from late campaigns any more than you do, and we're trying our hardest to make sure we get everything out of the door. This is why the FUN no ReFUNds campaign isn't set to ship until Q1 2027 - it gives us as much flexibility as possible to get our other campaigns completed!
No. Everything here is made by fans, for fans - that’s why our concepts are so cool. Disney sucks anyway and we really wanted to make this a tribute to the amazing creators of shows who dont get paid at all for creating amazing IPs. Don’t worry though - our manufacturers are some of the best in the industry, and we’re super picky with quality. We’d wager that a lot of our collectibles exceed quality standards!
Backerkit is super flexible for payment. You won't have to pay for your pledge until the end of the campaign, and thanks to a bunch of super-smooth updates to the service, you can now make use of payment plans and installments. However, these are only available during the campaign! Remember, once the campaign is over and you've been charged, we'll be whisking the money away to our manufacturers and art team. We aren't able to facilitate refunds, so make sure you're happy with your pledge!
We're currently working through big backlogs due to what will inevitably be called 'the year of the tariffs', and so are trying to give ourselves the biggest possible cushion to secure production times and high quality renders. As a result, we're not guaranteeing shipment until Q1 2027 - but will strive to be earlier if we can. Unlike certain mass conglomerates, we don't have gigantic supply chains, and work one-on-one with our artists, renderers and manufacturers to get you a top quality product. We really want to make sure we get this - and our timelines - perfect!
Shipping to and from the USA has never been more complicated, and in the face of an almost consistently changing climate, we don't want to offer shipping fees at this stage of the campaign. All shipping costs will be calculated when you send in your Backerkit surveys, so PLEASE make sure you're allocating a good chunk of cash to get your figures over to you. This is so we can liaise with alternative shipping clients and our manufacturers to get you the most reliable and cost-effective result.
We sure do - but we're unable to give estimates until the end of the campaign. Please make sure you keep cash aside to cover your shipping and handling! Our shipping isn’t the cheapest, but to quantity for this we make sure that every product is sent via the best tracked international shipping we can organise, with every item fully insured.
Once the campaign is over, we cannot refund your pledge. This is as-covered in the Backerkit terms of service and is something you agree to upon pledging. As a result, we can’t emphasise this enough - if you need to cancel your pledge or change your mind, cancel it before the campaign ends!
BackerKit FAQ
BackerKit Crowdfunding is an all-or-nothing collaborative funding platform. Creators share their project ideas and set a funding goal with a deadline. Backers pledge money to help make the project possible.
If the project meets its goal by the deadline, pledges are charged and the creator moves forward. If it doesn’t, no one is charged.
Backers often receive special rewards for their support, such as:
- Exclusive products
- Bonus rewards for backing related projects
- Discount pricing
- Behind-the-scenes updates
- Creative input opportunities
Pledging in crowdfunding is a commitment to support the creation of a new product or project. Unlike a traditional purchase, you're not buying an item that already exists. Instead, your contribution helps bring a creative idea to life, and in return, you typically receive rewards (such as the product itself) as a thank you for your early support.
- Select a pledge level with the reward(s) you would like to receive
- Select any add-ons
- Confirm your pledge!
- You are charged only if the campaign meets its funding goal.
- Charges happen when the campaign ends, not when you pledge.
The creator will send you a survey to:
- Ask you for more information about your rewards (selecting options, etc)
- Collect shipping information
- Offer additional items you may want to add to your pledge
- Collect shipping fees (if applicable)
The survey will be sent to the email address we have on file with your pledge. Additional payments are charged when you complete the survey.
Only the project creator and the BackerKit Support Team can see your pledge and contact information. Other backers and the public cannot see your individual pledge amount or personal details.
You can change or adjust your pledge level and add-ons before the campaign ends. After the project concludes, cancellations or changes are at the creator's discretion and may depend on what stage the project is in.
Overtime Mode extends your campaign past its original end time to give backers a final chance to make their pledge. It will add an additional 10 minutes past the end time as long as pledges keep coming in. The campaign will end when there is a 10-minute period without any new pledges.
