Project Update: I, Minotaur: Vol 1 is fully funded!!
Dear patrons,
We did it. I, Minotaur: Volume One is funded, and it happened because of you!
This has been a lifelong project, and it's been a long road to get here. It means more than we can say knowing that people were willing to step into the Labyrinth with Asterion. Thank you for taking a chance on a small studio and a very personal book.
Because of you, Volume One (the first two chapters of a fifteen-chapter saga) will be printed as the oversized, collector-grade hardcover the art deserves. Every panel is written, drawn, and illustrated by James, and it will stay that way.
What happens next
Campaign close: The campaign runs through October 1, so there's still time to unlock stretch goals. If you'd like to help, sharing the project is the best way. We'd love to reach the sewn-in ribbon marker and the Daedalus pin.
Pledge Manager: After the campaign ends, we'll send a survey to confirm your address and any add-ons you want, such as the Surrealist Alternate Dust Jacket, the Style Shift prints, and the Daedalus Engine Blueprint.
Production and shipping: We're aiming for delivery around April 2027, though it may take a bit longer depending on printing. Jules is managing production, as she did for our last campaign, Mining the Mountain. We'll keep you updated at every step, including the unglamorous parts.
To everyone who backed the Black Spine Limited Edition or the Artist's All-in tier: we're especially grateful. Your support is a big part of what made this book possible.
And a thank-you to our collaboration friends at ABLAZE and everyone who found us through Printopia.
Asterion has been waiting a long time for someone to read his story. Thank you for opening the window.
With deep gratitude,
James & Jules Ortega
