THE MANDELBROT HALL PILOT EPISODE IS COMPLETE!!!!!!

Yes, it's true! After two long years of production, our 22 minute pilot is finally complete. It was an absolutely insane production, and it couldn't have been possible without all of your support. We really hope you like it!!

Speaking of which...when can you watch it, and how? Can you see it in a theater? What about the remaining packages?

All great questions! Let's answer them all. First things first:

THE REMAINING PACKAGES:

This is our first order of business now that the episode is done. While the majority of you have already received your perks, there are around ~75 of you that still haven't. As stated in previous updates, this was due to at least one of the following factors:

Your order was international (usually the EU) and was returned to sender for various customs reasons.
Your order has a "piece of the production" in it and we couldn't provide that until we were done with the episode.
Your order was in a batch of packages we weren't able to pack in time because we had to finish the episode in time for film festivals.

We'll start shipping these out this month. We will inevitably get a few returns-to-sender, and our procedure for handling those will be as follows:

After our first return-to-sender, we will reach out and ask if the current address is correct or ask for an alternative address. If your order is international, we may ask if there is a US address we can deliver to on your behalf. Once confirmed, we will try shipping again.
After a second return-to-sender, you will have a few options
- If you or someone you know will be in NYC between now and the end of the year, we can arrange for an in-person delivery at a drop-box in the city.
- If you or someone you know will be attending LightBox Expo in LA during the weekend of October 23-25th, we can arrange for an in-person pickup at the convention.
- If neither option is possible, we can discuss a refund and/or receiving a deluxe digital bundle in place of your pledge.

You are under no obligation to pay for shipping twice in the event of a RTS (but if you are able, it helps us a bunch!)

In full transparency, we undercharged for shipping (even for international orders, which we already had to set higher than we wanted), so we are paying for the additional shipping costs out of pocket. That was for shipping prices at the time, and they have only gone up ever since. On top of that, we don't have a fulfillment team for this campaign- it's just the three of us handling customer service, packing, and shipping! Thank you all for being so patient with us so far, we ask that you hold out just a bit longer while we ship out the last few packages. We've already seen so many of you with your new swag on social media, and we can't wait for everyone to have theirs!

OK COOL, BUT WHEN DO WE GET TO SEE THE EPISODE?!

Short answer: probably on YouTube around Halloween, just like we planned! Long answer:

We're applying to festivals/screenings before our October premiere, and we're aiming to have at least one LA screening, one NYC screening, and one international screening. As SOON as we have the final details on those, we will let you all know on here + on socials! We'd be thrilled to see some of you there :-D

Leading up to the October premiere, expect to see some new teasers, a new trailer, and all sorts of other goodies on our socials!

The premiere itself will be a live event on YouTube, including a stream with the three of us and some of the cast and crew, but details are TBD! (Also, after the episode is live, we will also send out all the digital bundles now that we don't have to worry about spoiling the episode!)

FINAL NOTES

Not to sound like a broken record, but we genuinely cannot thank you enough for your patience and support through this entire endeavor. Making such a big project over two years with this many eyes on us is unbelievably challenging, and we hope you all enjoy the project when it finally drops this October! I will leave our sappier musings for the livestream and premiere, but in the meantime- thank you all. Can't wait to drop the trailer, hopefully the next update will include a release date!
