Project Update: Last pins arrived, stickers on the way, gruntwork has ensued

Look what arrived late last week:
heavy boxes

I decided just to roll into the usual gruntwork so I could also get some decent photos and show off the exclusive thank you gift.

GBD, Amber Ale, Stout, Shields, and mini pins were in these boxes and since then I have been grading, sorting,
and backing. Have some photos:

The GBD came out (well really, all the pins are of fantastic quality, I'm pretty impressed with the production) as a real stunner. The beer mug window is a super strong, vibrant green that glows well with light.

The magnetic version of the shields have two rare earth magnets flush to the back; they work great. Y'all get green or orange rubber backs as well, to match the transparent enamel color.

Since I don't have a good way to mark the back of pins with limited edition numbers I instead annotated the back of each card with Amber Ale x/25 or Stout x/25 - there are also a few B-grade versions of each pin. (The B grade flaws are quite tiny and include flaws on both sides. Overall B-grade numbers are incredibly low.)

And just if you forgot, the collab pins (super cute! I still want to do a "flavours of Hawaii / Tiki thing with them at some point):
Collab pins before being carded.

I'm over halfway through grading the latest batch pins and have carded about half of that. Enough right now to get me through fulfillment on Stout, Amber Ale, and shields. Carding continues on the collab pins.
I haven't gotten to the mini mugs yet. Due to there being three variants and how varied folks orders are, I'm going to wait until I'm packing orders so I can back as-I-go. I will take some photos and get those posted with the first wave or two, plus include photos of the normal variant Stout, Amber Ale, and the Rampant Marzen shield.

The exclusive mystery thank you gift!

These pieces I made by hand after... so much trial and error, y'all. But I've hopefully learned enough to make future foil prints less of a headache. They're a pale gold foil with a "frosted" texture on clover green cardstock cut to 8x8inches, and will be signed and numbered for this limited run.
While I am likely to use the GBD graphic again on foil or something (another shirt?), the text will be different, I won't be using the frosted foil effect, and I'm unlikely to use this combination of the paper and foil, because they should be a truly distinct edition from just a glance.

So all I'm waiting to receive is stickers, which I expect to see in about a week. After that I will be splitting time through the end of the month between beginning fulfilment and another project deadline and once we're in May it'll be focus on completing fulfillment and putting the rest up in the shop.

As always, happy to answer questions and otherwise, send beer!

Project Update: Phew, one year later and we're still in production

Howdy folks!

Yes, we're still in production, Stout and Amber Ale are the hold ups and should be finishing up this week, according to my representative on the 11th. I expect clarification or a more solid timeline soon.

Stout provided a few more hiccups (screenprint intensity) but we eventually got that sorted out. Except for some stickers that need replenished, everything has been paid for, is completed, or is in production. (I've just been waiting to have the last pins shipped before ordering stickers as they're produced locally.) Honestly if not for the  delays from the pin manufacturer I expected to have begun fulfillment already (other global issues notwithstanding...). I get frustrated with "yeah, things are just slow, still waiting for X to be finished, otherwise I'm keeping on keeping on" type updates because they offer nothing new and quickly sound hollow.

While pins have crept along, I went thru a whole learning process here in the studio to produce the hand made mystery gift reward for the Lucky Round of Green pledge level. Here's a preview!
GnG preview

I'll leave the details and more photos for the next update, but I'm happy to made something much more personal as a thank you.

Hope y'all are having a solid Green Beer (Dragon) day, and know I'm still around just, in a holding pattern. Next update will be with celebratory "pins have shipped" typed news.

Project Update: Locking orders today!

Head's up folks, I'll be locking orders this evening to secure item counts. I just wanted to give a final head's up before that happens.

You'll likely get another email when I hit the button. Cards will be charged starting Friday. Pin banners and totes are now on their way to me, I should receive them within two weeks, and otherwise we're still waiting while the last pins go through production.

Thoughts and better estimates for shipping out rewards as I get news on production completion.

As always, I'm happy to answer questions, and y'all have a lovely week!

Project Update: Locking orders next week, final items going into production.

I've set orders to lock next week, 11/4. Cards will begin being charged 11/7 to cover shipping, pre orders, and add on purchases from backers.

Here's a first look at the pin banners, and the tote in progress. These have all been ordered and are in production. The pin banners are 10x18" and the tote is 12x15." (I also designed and ordered a space themed pin banner, 'cause I do lots of space stuff.)

That's it for the moment! As always, I'm happy to answer questions and otherwise, have a lovely Halloween.

Project Update: Pin samples are in! Head's up on locking orders in two weeks or less.

Howdy folks! A box arrived recently and I haven't been able to go thru and grade everything, but I have examined the samples and made decisions on what final colors to use for Amber Ale and Stout.

For Amber Ale, I'll be using most of the color set from the green ale variant, but the honey brown from the beard, the foggy white on the glass should be a bit more transparent, and address the polish level the layered metals on the wing and tail so they become a texture again. (This happened with Sake as well, but was also caught once sample were received.) Also, if you think "wow a lot of this is very minor... yes. I am picky. :]

The shields required so many small revisions on the file before making a sample, but for once I got a sample that needs no revisions. They look amazing. I wish I had a good way to get a bottle opener back on them as third alternative to pin and magnet. (I actually used the major edits of this design on the new shirts to great effect.)

For Stout, I'll going one darker (again) on the screenprint, and otherwise all the colors from the standard version, save the lighter gold on the main horn. I will be keeping the "frosty" more opaque level of the mug.

Mango and Hawaiian Hibiscus are here in full and need to be graded. They're adorable.

That's a lot for today, I'll have news on pin banners and etc soon.  I might be adding canvas totes with the Rampant Marzen (like the shirts) to the survey. (I'm ordering them regardless but not in great numbers, they'll be $20 like the pin banners, and about 12x15" in size.)

As a head's up I'm looking to lock orders in two weeks or less, so if you were considering a limited variant of Stout or Amber Ale, please update your survey soon.

Phew, that's all for the moment, and as always, I'm happy to answer questions.
