I have 6 omamori sample photos for you guys, unfortunately, the other half had issues with their designs (an oversight on my part) so they'll be resampled. But that being said, here are the pics ! 

Hopefully it won't take too long for the new samples to come in. It took a little longer for these since they had a holiday the week before and production facilities weren't open!

Another quick update to let you all know that all designs orders are placed~
The pins and o-mamori charms are currently in production.
Hopefully, it won't be a super long wait as the designs are relatively simple!

Thank you guys for your patience as I got caught up with everything after my vacation. Who knew a 2 1/2 week break would put me so far behind? x_x

What's next?
I'll be charging everyone's cards soon to finalize your orders! You'll have 48-hours to make any last minute changes or add-ons! Double check and make sure you have what you want marked correctly and that your card info is up to date, otherwise, Backerkit won't be able to process it, and I won't be able to fulfill your pledge.

And after?
I'll update you guys once more when I get some sample/mock photos (it'll be so basic, honestly) just to provide some content and another announcement once items are shipped and when I'm ready to mail things out!

Gonna make a quick post about the hiccup that happened:

To those that pledged for just 1 pin: the surveys have been resent!
I'm not sure what happened and how it wasn't caught during the review process, so I do apologise for all the confusion that happened! So, if you haven't had the opportunity to, please recheck your surveys and make sure you select the actual design that you'd like!

For those who qualify for the freebie stickers: they've been added to your manual add-on item list via the surveys. They weren't there before because the rule for the qualification for the stickers were never actually made. So, again, I apologize for that confusion as well! 

Hopefully everything has been cleared up.

Happy Sunday! 

A short update to let you all know that the rest of the surveys have been sent out~ 
If you have any questions, please ask! I'll be happy to answer uncertainties. 

Thank you for your patience as I went on my vacation and still had to get work done when I came back. I thought I had everything wrapped up to send the surveys while I was traveling, but I was missing some key things and had to delay a few weeks.

That being said, smoke test surveys are being sent out.
Smoke test surveys just means a small percentage of backers will be receiving the live survey and filling them out. This helps me make sure that everything that I've set up is good to go and that there are no hiccups (and if there are, I can still fix my mistakes) and send it out to everyone else.

I'll likely wait up to 48 hours to make sure all/most of the smoke test surveys are filled out before sending the rest.

Shortly after I made the post, I ended up getting sick from the convention I worked at over the weekend, and ended up being stuck in bed for 3 days trying my best to recover as quickly as possible!

But without further ado, the o-mamori mock designs are finished!

I won't post all of them as to clog up the update page, so make sure to check them out on the campaign page!

For the achievement goal, I've gone ahead and updated it so that once we reach 50 RTs, the vinyl stickers will be unlocked! I lowered the goal to make it more achievable in the 13 days that we have left! So make sure to spread the word :D

I hope every one had an amazing Lunar New Year this past weekend. I was busy working at conventions, but I still enjoyed my time, nonetheless. Let me know if you did anything special! It's always fun to see the different things people do to celebrate the Lunar New Year!

That being said, you guys helped fund the additional 5 pins that were designed!
I didn't think they would be completely funded, so I feel like the poll I made is a little silly now, haha. But it's fun to see what people are looking forward to the most! I had thought the Panda would take first place, but by the time the poll ended, the Tanuki took the lead by 12%!

We still have about 16 days to go, and even though the pin designs are fully funded, I still have some other designs up my sleeves:

Our second stretch goal will be O-mamori! These are woven amulets often worn and carried by an individual for protection or luck. In modern days, o-mamori boasts many cute designs, such as these Zodiac creatures, while still continuously blessing the wearer.

I use 成語, "chengyu" or idioms, for the backside of the o-mamori. I tried my best to have them associated best with the animals. Direct reference to the animals came off as a challenge as most of them were associated with negative connotations (Dog, Pig, Snake - come to mind.) However, every animal in the wheel had a positive symbolism, and by using their symbols, I was capable of finding an idiom that matches the animal best!

Note: These designs are mock-ups, and the finalized versions will look different than the digital renderings.

At the moment, I only have the Dragon's mock up finished, but consider all the o-mamori designs unlocked! According to my spreadsheet (yes, I totally use a spreadsheet), we're already funded for all 12 zodiac designs for the o-mamori! So, if you don't want to wait for the mock-ups, they all look similar to the dragon design with different idioms, go ahead and adjust your pledge. I've gone ahead and included an add-on option!

While we've got the hype going on, I want to announce the next (already funded) stretch goal:

I made the cat the first stretch goal since we're on the internet and the kitties lord over us. However, the Cat also holds a significance in the Zodiac as it replaces the Rabbit in the Vietnamese culture! They helped farmers hunt rats and protect crops, which made them very important creatures and added great value in Vietnam. In contrast to what the Rabbit represents (peace/mercy/elegance), the Cat symbolizes strength, power, and assertiveness.
