Project Update: Update #13: May 2026 Progress Update
Greetings y’all,
Big news over here – No Gods, No Masters is done! The complete zine is over with TKG for approval right now, so I’m waiting to hear back on that before I push on with adding bookmarks and hyperlinks to the PDF. Next steps for the core zine:
- Once approved, I’ll work on finalizing the bookmarked/hyperlinked PDF for final release. The B&W, printer-friendly version will be assembled based off this version.
- After both the final core PDF and print-friendly versions are ready, I’ll give TKG the word and they will be released via the mega pledgemanager. Details are being sorted out at the moment, but it sounds like those would be released immediately to those that backed during the campaign and then released to those that pre-ordered via the pre-order store once that closes.
- The print version is ready to go to the printer as soon as I get approval from TKG. I’ll be holding on the print run itself until Sphere of Influence is 100% complete and ready to go.
Speaking of Sphere of Influence, things are moving along. It’s not ready for developmental editing yet, but I’m happy with where it’s going at the moment. It’s about 50% in layout at present and the writing is most of the way there. On a more fun note, Scragend is stepping in to provide the interior art on this one. Considering the absolutely massive lift he’s pulling to get all the art into Flatline on the Blocks, I’m just chuffed he was able to fit me in. I’ve got a couple draft pieces from him and they look fantastic.

- Josh & Michael Kramer of Grim Merchants have another project up on Backerkit: Fire Sale 2. The original Fire Sale is an extremely fun trifold and this sounds like it’s bigger, badder brother. Looking forward to what the Brothers Kramer cook up this time – you can check it out here now:
- James Introcaso of MCDM just posted up a playtest of his upcoming RPG, Crows. It’s a survival-horror dungeon crawling RPG that sounds fun as hell. James knows his shit and is an all-around excellent dude, so I’m very much looking forward to digging into this one. PROJECT UPDATE
Project Update: Update #12: April 2026 Progress Update
Greetings y’all,
Things are progressing apace over here. I just realized that I have used THE SAME NUMBER for the update number for the last 3 updates, which is one of the sillier things I have done in recent memory. I suppose it makes sense, considering I can't even remember how old I am from year to year.
I’ll run through the project updates in brief:

- Second developmental editing pass on No Gods, No Masters is complete. The zine was in layout for this editing pass, so now it’s just a matter of cleaning things up and massaging a couple of sentences to get it ready for print.
- Due to other commitments, my originally planned artist for interior art on Sphere of Influence was unable to participate in the project. Thankfully, I was able to work out an agreement with another artist pretty quickly, so I’m expecting those pieces by the end of May/beginning of June.
- There were a number of issues with the Greed Is Good patches (the cross-collab reward for backing NGNM and Josh & Michael Kramer’s Grim Merchants) that were unable to be resolved by the manufacturer. I was able to return that batch of patches and had a new run issued with another manufacture, and I think they turned out fantastic:
- I’ve started playing around with generating a print-friendly version of NGNM. This has turned out to be rather more challenging than I anticipated as the zine uses a lot of very rich colors. With that in mind, I moved my timeline for the print-friendly, B&W version to be generated in Jun’26. This will give me a bit more time to make sure that it’s still a handsome piece without having to sacrifice too much.
- Sphere of Influence continues at a pace slower than I would like. For such a small zine, it’s admittedly proving to be a bit of a challenge to write. I’m still confident that I’ll get it out in the next couple of weeks, but I certainly hadn’t anticipated that it would be a bit of a bear.

- TripTech Game Jam 3 is currently going on and is a little over halfway through. The original TripTech is how I got started doing this whole thing (and resulted in Foreign Bodies), so I’m absolutely stoked that it’s still going strong. Project Update: Update #9: March 2026 Progress Update
Greetings, y’all!
Hooboy, big updates this month. Let’s jump right into it.
The biggest news is that the Mothership Month ’25 Megapledge Manager is now live! Everyone who backed the project should have received a notification in their email. If you haven’t received that notification, you should check your spam folder. If it’s not there, you can also log in directly into Backerkit and you should see a notification that you have a survey pending. And, if none of the above works, reach out directly to [email protected].

Now that we’ve got that cleared up, on to project updates. I’m ecstatic to announce that the OST has been finalized by Snakes of Russia! This is going to be included with all copies of No Gods, No Masters as a digital download, and it absolutely slaps.
For the core book, I’m just a little behind where I wanted to be in terms of final writing. The good news is that the book is plugged into layout and now it’s just a matter of adding and trimming the text here and there to firm it up. I anticipate getting it back out to Josh for a final developmental editing pass this week.

Project Update: Update #9: February(ish) 2026 Progress Update
Greetings y’all!
My apologies for the late update – February snuck in and out like a thief in the night. But we’re here now, so let’s get to it! I’ve got a number of positive updates to go through:
- The first round of developmental editing by Josh has been completed on No Gods, No Masters. I’m currently working on updates to the manuscript based on his feedback, then that’ll get plugged into layout before going back to him for a final editing pass. This is a change from my original plan to get all edits complete prior to layout, but I want to make sure everything fits and trim back language as needed since I know the max space I have to work with.
- A new round of art for both No Gods, No Masters has come through from Bryce, and it looks (unsurprisingly) phenomenal. Just look at this guy:
- Possibly the most exciting news is that all of the patches have arrived on my doorstep. I’m currently QC’ing every one of these so I can take any issues back to my manufacturer. After that, it’s gonna be a long week of bagging and tagging over a thousand of these suckers. Take a look:
- The OST is progressing nicely. Joseph (Snakes of Russia) is planning on getting the final OST out to me by 01Apr26, so I’ll keep y’all posted on that as well!
Progress on Sphere of Influence is slower than I would like, but I’m happy to report that I finally cracked the adventure, tentatively titled “To Breathe or Not to Breathe”, which was my major roadblock. I’ve updated the timelines accordingly since this has been delayed a bit. As part of the art delivered by Bryce, he put together an updated version of the cover for Sphere of Influence. I think it’s a big improvement – check out the final version below:

- Suffety Games, who put together STAND/Deliver as part of MM’25, has a new TTRPG on Kickstarter called Tales from the Tapedeck. PROJECT UPDATE
Project Update: Update #9: January 2026 Progress Update
Greetings, y’all!
A relatively brief update here, but happy to say it’s all positive news:
- Joseph (Snakes of Russia) has begun work on the OST. I’ve gotten WIP versions of 5 tracks so far, and I am pleased to say that each one whips. It is exactly the soundscape I imagined for this adventure and I’ll have some previews up in a future update.
- The manuscript of No Gods, No Masters is with Josh for editing. He’s currently wrapping up some work on the Liminal Horror Deluxe Edition, so I’m expecting feedback from him sometime next week.
- I’m midway through playtesting No Gods, No Masters. I actually expected to finish by now, but there have been some delays due to the Philadelphia Area Gaming Expo, a stomach bug that wiped me out for a couple days, and just general timing issues. Happy to report that so far it works as intended! I have a number of ideas for how to improve the module already, including actually navigating the damn building, so I’m going to plug those in once I finish out playtesting and get Josh’s edits back.
- Bryce has been working on some new art for No Gods, No Masters and Sphere of Influence. The early sketches are cool as hell, and the updated cover for Sphere of Influence is looking very good. I’ll share more once it’s a little further along.
- Millie sent me over some revised patch designs. I had requested these because, after a bit of thought and digging around, the original versions held a lot of minute details that I was afraid would be lost in the production of the patches. The new designs have changed very little with the exception of removing some of the fiddly details so that the overall images translate better to physical patches.
All of the January ’26 targets were hit with the exception of manuscript writing on Sphere of Influence. That has lagged behind a bit, but I’m planning on catching up over the next week or two while No Gods, No Masters is in first-pass editing. So far, the timelines from the previous update remain the same!
On an unrelated note, I want to acknowledge how rough things are just…everywhere right now. My heart goes out to everyone in Minneapolis and I’m keeping my eyes peeled for further marches in my area. If there’s anything y’all can contribute to the causes highlighted in the TKG Discord or elsewhere, I hope you do so. And to any of you that are in Minneapolis right now – stay strong. We’re all with you.
