It's been a while since I sent an update because I wanted to think about some things and what I could change to help Lil Stinkers succeed. Unfortunately, with 11 days left, the project may not reach its goal. I hate to think that it won't again, but there is a high chance. After more research and talking to individuals on the BackerKit Discord server, these are some of the reasons people mentioned that might help, and I'd like to get your opinions as well.
1. You need a following on BackerKit to get the pledges you need, so most people start on Kickstarter, which has more traffic and helps create a following, which I don't have yet. To remedy this, if I don't succeed, I'll launch on Kickstarter and use BackerKit only to handle shipping until I hopefully get a following. (Third time's a charm?)
2.Someone also mentioned, and I quote: "I noticed the project has virtually no info on who the creator is, their name, why they're making this item, what merch they've done in the past, what kind of art they make/what inspires them, etc. The more money an item costs, the more I feel real introductions are important, especially if the creator is previously unknown/has a small following."
My response: They are absolutely right! I didnt really make a good introduction, did I? I will also be fixing that and putting more information out there so you can find out about me and why I wanted to make these plush backpacks in the first place.
3.Stretch Goals. Someone also mentioned I have too many stretch goals for my project and should stick to a few. Next time, I was thinking of doing just that. I will launch a little less and separate the designs. 1. The Plush Backpacks and, enamel pins, and baby keychains in spring, plus accessories for the plush backpack. Maybe swappable straps or clothes, etc.?
2. For winter next year, I'd like to do the oversized cardigans and maybe a winter bookish comfy design? (What do you all think?)
4. Pictures I need pictures and measurements and maybe a video of the backpack in use, to help potential backers see how the backpack will look. I think again this is a big one. I apologize; the first manufacturer wasn't able to get the design I wanted just right. I did hire a new one who seems to be on the right track but is taking their sweet time. I will make sure that when I launch on Kickstarter, I will include a lot of images! (My kids can model without showing their faces, of course, Lol!)
Concerning all this info, I know only a few of you will read this, but to make things maybe a little better, I will be doing this: when I relaunch on Kickstarter, I will make a list of those who have already pledged, and those who follow me over to Kickstarter will receive a freebie notepad. The select few who helped share this project will also be remembered.

New images of our Plush Backpacks, specifically Blossom! Is she just adorable, right? Next up is Ferguson. His head shape needs some adjustment with our new manufacturer, but no worries. He will be perfect; I won't accept less for you all. I wanted to post his image for transparency. Plus the work, as I'm trying to get these just right for you all.
We are making ok progress. I'm a little worried, as I expected to be a bit closer to our end goal by now. I can only hope more people will pledge soon. Please do your best to share my project with family and friends; it will help so much! Remember, you can pledge now and won't have to pay till later; it's the cool thing about BackerKit.

Hello, followers and supporters of my project! Lil'stinkers officially launched yesterday. Because of my error, I totally forgot to make an announcement. I guess that's what happens as a momma with two Lil' Stinkers in real life. (Liam and Elias.)
So with that blunder aside, we are making good progress, and we have a month to reach our goal. So I'll make this post as detailed as possible, with updated pictures, since it's all I can offer right now to help you trust my vision.
Please view all the photos, and I will add detailed comments on them so you can see what I plan for the finished project. The manufacturer should have the new images by Friday or earlier.
Blossom The Opossum (Right Now Gothic) LOL Note: These are manufacturer photos. My manufacturer is having trouble following directions. Currently, Blossom is a gothic opossum. Plans: 1. Her nose will be pink. 2. The brown on her body will be grey. 3. Her eyes will be light blue. 4. I want her tail to be a bit more chonky at the base and skinnier at the end. 5. The magnetic bow on the back will have a tail like the original design, and the straps will be light blue. Hopefully, seeing these images will help you follow the design I have in mind.
Sakura: The flower on her ear has been adjusted to a felt-like material. It was impossible to make the sakura flower that small with fabric without it looking like a star. All hardware was changed to black. Plans: I think I'll adjust the colors to resemble Blossoms. Please leave a comment if you think this was a good idea.

Hello, my beloved followers. I have to make another decision to push the project back. Unfortunately, I had to have surgery yesterday. This decision is a hard one for me, as I don't want my followers to be discouraged...and lose faith in this project offical launch.

Hello everyone, another update. I know I said the official launch will be today, but I have decided to extend it again. I know, I know, I'm sorry!!! I decided to do this because I want my supporters to have a clear and final image of the backpacks they will receive.
My manufacturer is perfecting the backpacks according to my specifications. I know this may be disheartening to those who have waited patiently, so I will be adding a freebie sticker to those who back the project.
Also, just for fun, those watching the project, if you comment under this update, I'll also send you a freebie sticker as long as you keep your pledge at the end of the campaign. I'm so sorry again for the delay....
This will absolutely be the last time we will be launching on July 25th!
