We are funded! That means that this roller coaster of an adventure gets to take off! I did realize that I never actually said anywhere how long this first novel of this multi-book series is. Let's just say I have 473 Google sheets pages. A little over 180,000 words! So, you will be getting your money's worth from this monster of a book.
With that said, I just want to thank each and every one of you who supported this campaign. It means the world to me, and I will finally be able to hold my book in physical form, and so will you! Once everything on here is finished it will be off to the publishers, and I will keep you all updated from there.
This is it, the last 24(ish) hours of the campaign! It's been a long road, but we are nearing the end and there is light at the end of the tunnel! We are so close to our goal, we just need a little push. So share if you can and tell your friends, and we can hit our goal!
The cover is mostly finalized but we are trying to decide on the color for the thorns. Should they be gold, or silver? Which do you guys think would look better?
We had hoped to be funded but we know that we are far from it. We still plan to do preorders via the pledge manager whether we get funded or not. We hope that if we do not get funded that you still per-order. Everyone who backs this project and pre-order if it fails will get the freebie items based on your backer time. For example, if you did early bird (backing within the first 48hrs) you will still get your free autograph. We sadly had a miscommunication and due to that have a high funding goal.
Sorry for the delay on this release. I lost my job a few weeks ago after I made the original post, and had to focus on trying to find a new job. But the campaign is now live! Please share so we can reach our goal!
Hello everyone! I hope you are looking forward to the launch as much as I am. I am currently working on a map of the territories where the book is set.
For a little background, the series takes place in an alternate history of the United States. The first book is set in 1808. Think of this story as a mirror universe where all American history happened, but alongside supernatural beings. (Yes, Jashin snuck away to throw tea into Boston Harbor, but that is for another story.)
The Kimoshi family's home is located in what we know as southern Michigan. Around where Ann Arbor is located, just a little less than an hour drive from Lake Erie.
I know that I am an extremely visual person, so I know that a map would probably help some of you. Keep a lookout for the map sometime later this week!
