They say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but beauty encompasses so much more than just a person’s outward appearance. Beauty means something different for everyone and that is what makes life so vibrant and beautiful!
With the way the world is right now, it is more important than ever to show pride in who you are. We can’t let hate push us back into the dark ages. There are so many different kinds of people in this world and love comes in every shape and size, no amount of propaganda will ever change that. We wanted these pins to be able to tell a story for whoever wears them: this is who I am and I am proud! I am here, I exist, and I will be seen.
We hope that these can help open some eyes out there and show that we really aren’t that different and the differences that we do have should be celebrated.

We are a wife and wife team based out of southern Ohio. We pride ourselves on making quality, LGBTQIA+ art and apparel. Joei specializes in machine sewing, the banners that you see on our Backerkits, photography, and writing. (Be on the lookout for her debut novel coming to Backerkit in September). Blue focuses more on the finer details such as hand-sewing, pattern and merchandise designing, and paperwork. We love when something we have created can bring a smile to someone’s face, it’s what we live for! When we aren’t breaking our backs with work, we are spending time with our daughter watching movies, going to the zoo, or hanging out at local parks. Our daughter also draws and wants to own her own business one day, a dream we will always encourage. We also share our house with two dogs Dobby (a 5 year old corgi), and Chandler (a 15 and ½ year old aussie); and two cats, Diana (a 5 year old high maintenance, stuck up gray tortoiseshell) and Bread (a 1 and ½ year old orange furball with no braincells).
