Hey everyone!

We recently received an inquiry regarding the lengthy timeframe of our campaign, and why we chose to structure it this way. I thought it was an important question to raise that others may have, so I wanted to provide the explanation here!

1. This is our first crowdfunding campaign, and we wanted to allow enough time for pledges out of worry that we would not reach our goal in a shorter period of time!

2. We wanted to have a lot of stretch goals of items we want to put our full love and devotion into designing. Since each item is manufactured, we will need enough time to both reach each goal, and wait for samples to be produced and approved of each item once they are unlocked.

3. Related to the point above, manufacturing takes a lot of time! We are planning on producing bags in waves, sending a first batch for manufacturing when our initial goal is met, and a second batch as more orders come in. This allows us to break up packing and sending orders, which will be helpful as I (Thistlecrux) will be the only person packaging them all by hand from my home.

4. I am a full time fursuit maker with a queue filled until 2027, which unfortunately takes most of my weekdays. The only time I have to fully manage this project and update goals is weekends, which significantly impacts production scheduling.

I have seen a handful of projects with similar goals have a three month timeline, which is why I chose this path. We hope that this explanation provides more context, and that given this information, the timeline feels appropriate :)
